For home defense My search to buy a 1911 has led me to the
Colt Lightweight Commander XSE .45 ACP Auto Pistol. Mas a have you shot this Colt? And if you did shoot this Colt how was its reliability? How did you feel with the way this Colt handled?Thank-you for your thoughts

Not that specific model. However, the Colt Lightweight Commander has a solid 62 year history as a modern classic carry gun...Colt quality control has been quite good...and the most recent one I tested, a National Match Gold Cup from the new series, performed quite well. I'd say, "Go for it!"
