Current State of Jack and Reloading
So he isn't stuck under something heavy and he isn't dead. That is the good news. Sadly, all you other jokers just aren't interesting enough for him to log on an post when he is high on pain killers. Somebody needs to come up with some interesting questions that include obscure "old timer" data that only he and perhaps Whisky and Bob even care about. Then maybe he will come back and post something interesting. So just to repeat, not dead, not fallen can't get up, not stuck under something heavy but taking heavy drugs and a little bored.

Jack, if you could only have one mold - either the H&G 130 or the H&G 68, which would you choose and why?
Is the new Unique really better than the old Unique? If there are two, how can they be unique?
Why is it when I'm in Italy nobody is in a hurry to do anything but drive and cheat on their spouse?

Should I feel guilty for being able to load 5.56 for only .07 a round for years to come?

Jack,
Could you explain all the advantages to using the FCD for every caliber you load again?.....

Jack, what is your secret for squeaky clean primer pockets?
Do you have a different strategy for small primer pockets vs. large primer pockets?

Jack, I'm confused. I want to crank out ammo so fast that money is no object. I find the tedious steps involved to really cut into my video game time. I have no idea how to approach load development, but getting all the right gear will really only cost me a few thousand. The idea of just buying factory ammo isn't an alternative. I need to shoot more... fast! Will you come over and set up my dies and tell me what the powder charge should be?

Jack's favorite cleaning device is a carpet cleaner.
Zombie Steve will say "I bet she smells like Capet Cleaner"
Someone please make sense of that for me.

For those that don't know Jack broke his back using a carpet cleaner.

Did a guy named Sal Monella ever contract salmonella from eating salmon?

For Jack to ponder
What is your favorite Buffalo Springfield Song?
Gidget or Ellie Mae Clampet?
Which one of the girls on Petticoat Junction was the hottest?
Did you ever want to reach through the screen and punch Eddie Haskell in the face?
Why did Rob and Laura Petrie sleep in twin beds?

I haven't shot black powder for years, so I'm not sure I can come up with a question the old guy can relate to.

If black powder were a different color, would they still call it 'black powder shooting'?

We know that it's the powder that determines when to use a magnum primer, but what other factors could be considered?

Jack, I'm mixing in extra zinc into my pot because I need a bullet of at least 21 bhn to shoot .45 acp. For some reason, the bullets come out looking really bad. I had the temp up to 900 degrees... what am I doing wrong?

I need tips on loading for the .58 Burnside.
I have heard that Jack used to load them for the calvary when he was younger?

So if you loaded a black powder rifle from the breech, would it still be called a 'muzzleloader'?

It's not polite to make an old guy with broken bones laugh, or move around, or have to go potty, reach for the remote, reach for the scotch to wash down morphine, dilauded, vicodin, etc., have your shooting buddy call and say, "The State Black Powder Championship is this weekend, you gonna be well enough to shoot it?"... or even breath.
All of your posts are very entertaining to say the least and very much appreciated, except for those posted by Zombie... they are actual questions he has that he has no idea how to answer.
Slowly getting better, at least the pain no longer makes me scream when I move... Dawg was getting tired of the noise waking her up. Worthless mutt.
This little mishap shall heal as have all the other ones but I'm really starting to get tired of going through it. Good thing I was born looking like Tom Selleck 'cause I could be the poster boy for Murphy's Law.
Ya'll take care and don't blow up anything or anyone.
Jack
