I'm trying to locate a new Remington 870 police model NO. 24449. Could someone please point me in the right direction ?

Honestly, in this environment you might have a hard time finding that particular one. Instead and as better first choice, consider Aippi building one for you. His work is one his site and you can see exactly what he can do for you.

I think you'd be better served with a custom built 870 by home than a bone stock 870P for what is likely nearly the same price.

Thats a good choice if you can find it. Have you considered asking a shop to hunt one down for you?

If you can't find what you're looking for, look at the Mossberg 51517. Basically the same gun with ghost rings, and a 6-shot vs. 5.
