I posted this project before, but I updated some things.
I originally ran my ACOG, but decided I would lose some weight and switch to a micro red dot. I got a great deal on a used Aimpoint H1 so the ACOg went on another AR.
I wanted to find a good way to mount a light with the VTAC battlerail. I experimented with a few things and finally decided on the VLTOR offset with a surefire.

It's a 16 inch with an M4 profile. Super lightweight. The VTAC rail is a 13 inch.

I am this close to hanging my AR from a rope and hitting it with a can of FDE spray paint.....I really like the look.
It's one thing to buy furniture like stocks and such in FDE, leaving the base AR in black. Another to have the entire rifle in FDE, with a bit of patina from wear over time.
I think I would even FDE my Eotech, sights, grips and such. Just do the whole thing after taping off the glass on the Eotech and the BUIS Troy sight post insert and rear sight dual aperature area.

Almost done. I ordered my scope last night. It's getting a Leupold VX-R 3-9x40mm with the new firedot duplex reticle. It's not anything too special but I'm anticipating a lot of fun shooting it.

I love the two-tone black metal/FDE plastic look for nothing other than a change from the all-black most of my stuff is. My FDE 300 BLK SBR is the star of the following video. It's wearing an AAC 762-SDN-6 suppressor (which adds its own "sexy" to any rifle).

I need to add another picture being that I added another rifle to the stable. The upper rifle is a Bison Armory 6.8 SPC with a Palmetto LBK. The lower is my Colt LE6920.
And a "fancy" camera photo my buddy took while playing with his new T3i.
