We've had good luck with the LaserMax guide rod lasers in our 3rd Gen G19 and G21. Since 2005, both lasers have proved to be accurate, durable, and reliable, over thousands of rounds, using all manner of ammo.
The unit in my G21 will turn itself on sometimes when firing hotter loads, but that's NBD to me.
The unit in Judy's G19 has been flawless.
The battery life is great!
The only parts I've replaced were due to routine maintenance protocol, and not any sort of failure.
I use the LMS-UNI-G primarily on my G17, or on my G21 when it’s in 10 mm mode. I pair it with an Insight XTI Procyon weapon Light, since the SureFires are too long to lock-up beneath the Uni-Max lasers on our Glocks...
Note that the LaserMax guide rod laser isn’t 100% reliable with my KKM .45 – 10 mm Conversion Barrel...
