Old style Ruger synthetic M77 stock?

Long story, my father's house burned and his safe didn't do much good. He did rescue his Ruger M77 .338 (less his synthetic stock). He is looking at the old style but understands that it may not be possible. Another good option? He and I aren't very good at inletting or whatever on stocks, so drop-in would be great.
Money isn't great for them (mom and dad) right now as the insurance companies are "fighting it out", so let's keep the price under the cost of, say, $200 ish. Actually the cheaper the better, but would like to be able to keep the bullets in the kill zone, if you know what I mean.
Thanks guys...
