Best Pepper Spray
What is the best pepper spray for use from the driver's seat?
Cone spray, stream, or foam?
What brand?
I am thinking of a 4 oz. or 2 oz. can.
This is for my wife's use.

I've been sprayed with Saber Red and Fox.
They both hurt and burn like the fires of Hell. The Fox was the worst from the receiving end.
I hope that helps.

My experience has been with the UDAP 'bearspray', NASTY stuff. They do make smaller containers for sale. Cabelas & others has it.

Fox is good stuff and I like a cone pattern. It has less range, but covers the entire face. Believe it or not its easy to miss with a stream pattern. Getting both eyes with a solid hit gives you the most advantage.

We had the best results by far with "Bodyguard LE 10", in cone pattern. I don't recall an Officer ever employing it while seated in a vehicle, however...

From a car, I'd recommend as "tight" of a spray pattern as you can get. The last thing you want to do is accidentally incapacitate yourself when you're being attacked. Go with the stream. I would recommend Fox 5.3 for the brand.

I'm gonna hope this was a voluntary training type exercise. If not -- WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING to get pepper-sprayed and with two different kinds?!?!?!

I've actually been sprayed more than twice!
Yes, every time was voluntary. The last time was with Fox. I sprayed myself that time.
Big mistake by the way!

You're a badass!!! And I accidentally (isn't that always the way) tapped the top of a can I can't remember the name of and it discharged just a tiny, tiny bit. But that got on my finger.
Hours later after washing my hands I rubbed my eye and it STILL burned a bit! Yes, OC spray is pretty potent.

Fox 5.3 in cone spray. I keep a big can of it in my car as well as a little pocket version.

Anyone have an opinion on the Kimber Pepperblaster?
BTW, what is the typical "shelf life" of these sprays? Kimber says the "three years" for theirs is longer than a typical aerosol.

I DO !!! junk !!! ,you only have 2 pulls of the trigger and 2 charges ,and it fell apart , the first charge did nothing , the second charge malfunctioned and never went off ,
, kimber as good as their pistols are, has a very bad customer service reputation as well , when i fired the only one that worked i got some of the red liquid on my finger , i smelled it and it seemed like it was red water , needless to say i feel its the worst of all ,

Sabre works real well. We use it at work and I've been sprayed twice by it. Brutal. The Fox mists too much in my opinion. In any enclosed space it hangs in the air, that's why we speed using it .

Vexor....smoking hot, Sabre Red is also very good. Been sprayed with both. Vexor is worse for sure.
Also go with a stream rather than mist, open window with mist you WILL get yourself. If you plan on using it.............spray yourself so you know cause you will likely get yourself a little regardless.

Capstun is like water compared to VEXOR, Sabre Red is even worse.

Fox is great for two and four legged creatures. I've used it several times on four legged creatures and they don't like it!!
