P30v3
I have a P30v3 9mm (M730903A5) in pristine condition with 4 magazines, case, grip panels and all literature. If any members have come across a used P30 in their travels, would you be kind enough to let me know the prices you have seen. I'm thinking about parting with my P30.

Can't help with pricing.
But am curious as to why you're disenchanted with the weapon?

9 or 40 ? Id like to know why too. That's a fantastic pistol. Never heard anything bad about it.

I've heard of getting $650 for trade in value at a gun shop, which is probably on the high end. I'm sure some shops would low ball at $500-550ish. I would expect to be able to sell it for $700+.
I'm trading mine off soon to someone. It's a great gun but it's too large for carry (for me) and I absolutely can't stand the enormous slide lock levers, especially the right side one that rattles with every step I take. Unacceptable in any gun, let alone an $800-900 gun. Those are really my only complaints. Well, cost of mags too, but that I can live with if I like a gun.

The P30 is an excellent weapon, as mine follows tradition of being a 100% failure free firearm. I have an abundance of 9mm pistols and I prefer my other H&K's over it. I guess I'm a USPc guy.

Thanks for your honesty guys.
I've been thinking about a P30 but can't find one to rent.
Never liked ambi controls.
And a rattling gun is ridiculous.
I really like my Sig P220/45, Sig P239/357, Glock G27-357 and Kahr MK40 Elite.
May have to fall back to the Sig P229 Elite Stainless I've been thinking about.

It's a Great 9mm one of the best on the market. Reliability and ergo.'s on par with anything made even a revolver . Mine has the safety and i can carry it also in my Milt Spark's VMII that my HK45c usually ride's in with ease.
The pic. was ~21ft in the wood's with a storm coming fast. 15rds of Fed. 9BPLE. I need to shoot more but of late it storm's most afternoon's, alot of room to improve...

Same day and distance finished with my HK45c...storm was closing and i was ok with this for now..230gr GoldDot's. Shot on top was my first press out in DA...

Do you like one over the other? I have a p30 v3 40 and absolutely love it. Thinking about getting a 9mm. Was thinking about another p30 or maybe try the usp or 2000. I have never held a handgun that felt like it was made for my hand like the p30.

Which variant comes with the manual safety? I had a v3 and it only had the decocker next to the hammer, which I didn't like. I think that was the main reason why I didn't keep the gun.

I found the answer I am looking for: P30S is the designation for the models with the manual safety.

Went to the LGS today at lunch.
Held and dry fired a P30 40 LEM.
I'm in love.
The first pull on the trigger is sweet.
Second pull dry fire kind of stinks.
But that's just a double strike for dud rounds.
And would normally never be felt.
There's a good bit of travel and reset.
But for carry IMO that's a good thing.
Very light, smooth and glassy.
No stacking or creep to speak of.
Felt very much like my P239 DA with a tuned trigger (7.0 lbs).
It's time to start saving for my next gun.
A bomb proof HK.

You won't be disappointed, barth. Just shot mine yesterday and I'm still thinking how nice it was. Wish I had unlimited supply of ammo so I could just shoot the darn thing everyday.

There is a dealer on HKPro that had one a few day's ago. It has Mep. night sight's on it. Cross Creek Gun's on HKPro under vendor's that are part of the forum. I remember a very nice price(lower than anywhere else) but forgot exactly since i have one that's superb 9mm!!! good luck!

Don't forget to budget some time for playing with the 27 possible combinations of grip panels!

You know she feels perfect right out of the box.
Not sure I'm even going to mess with that.
She's almost exactly the same size, and fits in the same holster, as my 7+1 P239. This is going to be nice.
Gun comes with only two mags, so I need third.
Thinking about changing the sights to XS System Big Dots.
And already ordered the springs to convert V2 to V4 or V1 LEM.
But the trigger feels so good NIB I want to shoot her first.
My initial thoughts are to keep her as factory stock as possible.
Bomb Proof baby!!!
I can already tell - she's the one...

I went to the larger panels so the trigger reach was a bit longer. The stock reach was a bit too short for my liking. I do wish the largest backstrap had less of a hump though. Very Glock-like.

This for sure...with my mit's being xl i went large side's and tried the largest back strap...that one caused my trigger finger to go into the trench. So i put the medium bstrap on i believe. Well worth your time!
So my set-up now is just perfect make's the reset feel like a USP. Plus i shoot it better now!
Congrat's barth!!! A superb gun and one smooth .40 like all HK's....

I haven't seen them that low again. I went to my lgs to buy a Glock, saw the P30 and bought the last 2 they had. Great sale price.

Wow. I'd take out loan and buy everyone the store had for that price. You did good. I see most around here in the $899 range
