New guy here! Just got a SWEET deal on a LEO trade in G22 with TRL-2.only paid $430.....however when i got home and stripped her down to clean i noticed this peening on the slide......Is this normal? I've never seen this on my glocks but its a heavily used LEO firearm.
Should i just say meh.....or should i order a new slide.

Thanks for the input :-)
Normal. Particularly on .40 S&W
Not to worry.

Thanks. I own a couple 23's but this is my first 22..........and when i saw this i became a bit concerned because well , i've never seen it in my17,19,23, 32, 37 21 or 20 haha
I just bought a complete G-22 slide that was a LEO trade in that has the exact marks. I took a look at my G-19 to see if that had them but nope. I wonder what they did to make those. Youngdocglock, what are the letters that your serial # starts with? Mine is CUP?

My understanding is that it is due to the more snappy recoil of the .40 S&W round that causes more flex in the polymer frame.
Once it peens the rail a bit it no longer contacts and the process stops.
