Another devoted Art bell fan here. Art Bell and Bruce Williams are each in a class of there own.

Artís shows were really good and whenever driving late at night and tuning into Art you really knew you found something entertaining. I remember one particular show on the anniversary of and dedicated to the Edmund Fitzgerald. Excellent show.

No so much now. I still tune in, but the hosts are no comparison to Art.

Art did get remarried and moved to the Philippines a few years ago and tried broadcasting from there but there were too many technical problems. I think he moved back to the US, then I lost track. He probably has a non-compete clause w/C2C, but I hope it expires and he returns to broadcasting his own show again somewhere else.

Bruce Williams. I really enjoyed listening to him years ago.
And like Art they were definately in a class by themselves.

I seemed to have lost track of Williams though. Does he
have a show anymore?

I am in a job that requires rotating shifts, and one of the first things the vets asked me after I was hired was "are you related to Art Bell?" (we both have the last name Bell).

I was like "Who's Art Bell?"

"Oh, you'll find out soon enough!"

LOL. They were so right! It was the only show on the radio in the early AM, and I used to listen to it RELIGEOUSLY. I've since transferred, and in this new area it's only on a radio station that I can barely tune in, so I don't listen anymore. Once in a while the ionosphere is in just the right condition that I can pick it up clearly, and I still enjoy it.

I just love the fact that even if the guest is certifiable, they let the guest say their piece without passing judgement. Truly unheard-of anymore.

Of course, what I found the most interesting was that one night they could be "right-on" talking about how the Government was growing way beyond the constraints of the Constitution, and the next night they'd be talking about some far-out stuff like how some guy got an anal-probe from ET. Truly a bi-polar radio show.

Another one from Coast to Coast when Art had it was Mel's Hole. Anyone remember Mel's hole? That guy was a real stoy teller.

On nightshift I listen all the time.
Nory has a way of interviewing that doesn't put down some of the really wacked out guests.

The one topic I can't stand.....
subterranian iguana humanoids.

I had forgot about Bruce Williams until you mentioned him. I enjoyed his show too.

Does anyone remember this Bell episode.

He had a caller that was very scared and distraught after
being let go from Area 51 about a week prior. Caller was in
hiding and in fear for his life. He said that he didn't have
long to speak because his position would be triangulated.

After about 2 min. on the air the entire radio station was
taken off the air for unknown reasons. The station had to
go on back-up generator power to transmit. Bell said that
this was the first time that this had ever happened.

It was either creepy or coincidental that it happened when
the caller was so upset about being tracked by the
government. Bell was even freaked about what had just
happened. I believe that you can even find the audio of
this on You Tube.

Sounds interesting - I will need to try and find that episode on youtube.

I do remember a show 30 or so years ago where a despondent and suicidal man called Bruce Williams. Bruce was excellent in talking to the man and over time was able to get him calmed down and some medical attention - possibly saving his life(?).

Art Bell was the master of dead-of-night conspiracy and thought provoking talk. George Noory is very good too, but there will never be another Art Bell........

It has been on Satellite since the beginning of XM. Art always used the latest technology. It loops through out the day.
