The Gators picked a bad team to be inconsistent with.

But they did win the BCS "Show your #ss" competition.
Seriously, they were acting like they were up 40-0. I really think the "sideline infraction" that the refs called against them was an attempt to get UF's coaches to get their team under control.
The reference to a "get 'em back" coach was hilarious. In one Clemson game this year the defensive co-ordinator got so wound up in the game and was on the field. Another coach (the Defensive Ends coach I think) literally grabbed him by the belt and either pulled him back onto the sidelines or lifted him up and carried him back! Venables (the DC) didn't have an issue with it - he knew what was up.

In my opinion, that Louisville team was actually Miami beating on the Gators. The QB for Louisville was committed to go to Miami, until Randy Shannon got fired as Miami's head coach. There were 30 players from Florida on that Louisville roster and 18 of them were from Miami.
I wish the state of Florida could keep it's athletes, but things changed when the NCAA ruled a team could only recruit up to 25 players a year...it was the beginning of the end for state of Florida dominance.

I'm torn. If Alabama wins, then tOSU is the only unbeaten team in the country. But I just can't bring myself to root for SEC.
If ND wins, then the SEC can go back to consoling themselves that they are losing because of how tough their schedule is.
Obviously the best scenario would have been tOSU beating ND in the Championship game, with Alabama losing to Orekansas for fifth place.

OSU should have taken that bowl ban last year.

Yep. That whole thing was wierd. I still can't believe the NCAA allowed OSU to have two separate coaching staffs (the new one that was recruiting and the old one that was coaching the team).

Florida defensive back, Elam I think, would make a tackle after 15-20 yard play by UL and act like he was a heisman candidate.
Discipline sees to be lacking starting with the coaches.

Well, son of a *****. Just saw that the title game is on ESPN. No ABC/ESPN? I think I got last's year's title game on the computer, but can't remember. I'm not buying that damn cable TV either.
Oh yeah. Go ND. I be catching you on the radio.

I agree they rolled the dice and lost. Funny thing is the Ohio State AD who made the decision to take that .500 team to a meaningless bowl last year, Gene Smith, is a Notre Dame graduate.

Miami is headed for a world of hurt from the NCAA. They will be lucky to even field a football team after it's all over.

Remember though...Charlie Strong came from UF. He has strong ties to the state, which I'm sure helps his recruiting from there.

Sadly as a Sooner I'm too accustomed to losing bowl games.
Manziel certainly is fun to watch, and should have a great college career.

I slept we'll last night after the Fiesta Bowl.
Mostly relief since my Ducks struggle in bowl games...

Johnny Football is an unreal talent.
UTx and OK have fallen futher and faster than any Div. 1 team in recent history. Super players, mediocre coaching.

I wouldn't give up on Stoops yet, but I think it is time for Mack Brown to go.
A&M has a good shot at winning it all next year.

Oregon looked really good in that game. Speed kills.
That is what I am hoping we are building at Clemson. Similar offense but, until the bowl game, the defense was lacking. We still need help at the DB spots but hopefully the new DB coach Dabo just hired will be able to get that corrected.

6 LSU players have so far declared themselves eligible for the NFL draft with more expected.
Barkevious Mingo
Brad Wing
Kevin Minter
Eric Reid
Tharold Simon
Spencer Ware
Sam Montgomery, Michael Ford and Bennie Logan are also expected to declare.
Ouch.

That is some talent leaving. LSU has recruited at a pretty high level for several years though, so there should be some players behind them.
May not matter much though if QB play doesn't improve.
