Gen 3 or Gen 4

So, I'm pretty sure I'm going with a G26 or maybe G27 with the intention of getting a 9mm barell for it for my next Glock purchase. I can get either in Gen 3 or Gen 4. I'm thinking just go with the Gen 3. Am I right?

For myself I prefer the Gen 4 because of the grip texture, the bigger mag release, and it fits my Wife's hand better. Yea it fits my little hands better too.
Good luck and stay safe,
Mike

Either is fine. I personally like the Gen 4.

It came down to crunch time yesterday because Buds recieved my trade and needed a decision. I picked the G26 gen3 with night sights. I juist thought I would stick with what my G36 and G21sf were. Will post when I recieve it. I already ordered a Ghost ranger connector kit including springs, a stainless steel guide rod and a 17rd magazine with spacer. Will post pics when I get it.

Like you, my spare/backup/nightstand mags are 17rd mags with x grip spacers. Make sure your edc 10 round mag is of the long tapered type (top pic) instead of the short tapered type, of which there are still plenty around (bottom pic).

The latter isn't a 100% drop free mag.

Either gun will be fine. I bought the Gen 4 for the bigger mag release and ambidextrous at that, 3 magazines and the smaller back for size adjustment on the grip. Those are the main differences between the 2. Which ever caliber you choose, either is fine. I have guns in both if you have shot the calibers before, then you know the difference. If not the 40 will snap back harder than the 9mm. If your recoil sensitive then get the 9mm, if not get the 40. Both are fine calibers.
