Let the Lead Fly!

So i just loaded my 9mm test rounds for tommorow after work.

125 gr LRN 3.8gr W231 loaded @ 1.100 OAL and 1.080 OAL

125 gr LRN 4.1gr W231 loaded @ 1.100 OAL and 1.080 OAL

We shall see which one performs better!

Have you ever loaded that TAC load before? 200 is a lot to test if things go badly. That's samck in the middle of the data, but I always like to test small lots, just in case. I had a buddy do just that, didn't get his sizing die quite right & had to pull 98 out of 100.

Yeah, what Fred said.

Making two trips to the range is a pain in the keester. However, pulling 195 bullets is a bigger pain.

Unfortunately, one must have this experience several times before the lesson sets in.

Well after todays testing all loads functioned in the pistol.

I think im gonna go with 3.8gr @ 1.100 OAL seemed real soft. good ejection pattern and ok accuracy. ill load up 50 of each and take em back for extensive testing :D
