Local news is reporting that at 250+ officers have responded. I am sure more then a few GT'ers are working the scene now.
They got the scumbag in custody, and Aurora PD reports there's only one suspect. I'm hearing unconfirmed reports that the POS used a handgun and a rifle, possibly an AR15.

Thoughts and prayers for the dead and injured.
Why aren't they releasing the shooters name, race or nationality yet? Is that SOP, all they've released is a male in his 20's is in custody.

Considering that this all just happened and that I sure it is a giant cluster, they aren't likely to release any info about the shooter until they have taken care of the scene.
I am curious if this was a homegrown terrorist or an import.

Well I thought I had heard the name of the suspect was released. Can't find it anywhere. I thought it was Mark something with a S. Guess not. Some FBI spokesperson is saying that right now they do not believe there are any connections to terrorism. But I wouldn't be surprised if that changes.

We had a similar act in nearby Tuscaloosa in the last few days, walked into a local bar and began shooting, 17 injured. May be racially motivated, suspect in custody. Geeze, the crazies are out, wear your vests, watch thier hands.

Still at the PD. I was one of the first wave of mutual aid cars. Made it there fast. Worst scene I've even been on.
Cant go into any detail obviously but so much death and distruction. Worst call ever.

It's hard to believe the gunman made it out alive. Not one off-duy or CCW'er was able to slow him down? I read he had body armor, but I find it hard to believe he was the only person in there with a firearm.
