New Glock owner from Illinois, saying Hi!
Just bought a G19 and G27. Never owner a GLock before. I'm Here to learn all I can about Glock, from Glock owners. I went to Glock after seeing how easy the weapon breaks down, and after holding a Glock at a local gun store. I was impressed at the weight and that the gun seems to need so little oil. Fired a G17 and G27 that a friend owns. That clinched it for me. Traded in my old heavy 9MM P89 Ruger.

Several weeks ago I went to the range with some policebuddies. A few of them use G27s as their backup weapon. I fired many rounds of40S&W through my friends G27. I really liked the size and the punch of the40S&W. So, I bought one for myself. This was the first Sub-Compact I haveowned. I love the sub-compact for its size. I see my hand guns as defensive tools, and the Sub-Compact fits that role perfectly. I am considering a SpringfieldXD-9 or maybe a G26. I hope to get a non-resident CCW permit in order to carryoutside of Illinois.

Hi, I posted another thread on the subject of non-resident CCW permits. Maybe you can provide some straitn answers on this topic.
Where can I get locally certified in order to apply for a non-resident CCW permit from Utah or some other state that allow non-residents to apply for CCW permits? Why? I would like to exercise the right to carry in the other 49 states that allow CC.

Actually, I was born and raised in Wisconsin. Moved to Chicago for career. When I lived in Wisconsin there was no CCW rights. Now that I live in Illinois, Wis has CCW. Figures!
