Put A2 stock on M&P Sport

Need a recommendation. Having spent some time with my sport over the last two weeks I think that I might prefer an A2 stock over the adjustable. I know that the buffer assembly will probably need to be changed. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Palmetto shows some kits, all out of stock, but can't find enough info to know what to select.
Thanks
Ed

Extend collapsible fully.

Leave it there.

You now have a fixed stock.

This.

I'd rather shoot a collapsible fully collapsed than a fixed A2 or A1.

Agreed, as well.

Before spending your hard earned cash on a change you may not like, try spending some time at the range during one of their higher traffic periods and see if someone with a fixed stock rifle otherwise configured as your rifle will let you shoot it.

I'm surprised everybody is telling the OP to just leave it as it is when he has clearly indicated what he prefers. And, I agree with his assessment. I have shot both fixed and adjustable stock since 1976 and, for me, the standard stock is way more comfortable. I think perhaps the cool factor is making people forget about setting up a gun that is comfortable for you. That said, I am not making a big run toward changing my collapsible but I know that the other is more comfortable. And, let's face it, most of the advantages of the collapsible are lost on the typical AR owner anyway.

An A2 stock will make for a good buttstroke. You never know when you have to crack some heads.

Not everybody is running around wearing full body armor with hard plates.

I take that back. Some do all the time, even at the mall, because you gotta train like you fight.

When will you have to "crack some heads?" Never. If so you've done something wrong and should have spent more time on the range.

I find it amusing that someone goes out of their way to take every opportunity to talk crap about proper technique and training then recommends a stock because it would be good for buttstroking someone.

Oh, I don't know...walking down Inglewood or Compton at night?

Gotta plan for contingencies. When a rifle/carbine that is out of ammo or jammed beyond immediate repair, it's good for a club if it were to have a nice solid stock to whack some heads with.

Let me guess, they don't teach you guys about bayonet & buttstrokes work any more because modern warfare doesn't call for it?

Walking the streets of Inglewood or Compton at night? Now you're recommending we should affix bayonet? But I thought we weren't going to war? Wasn't that your defense earlier for sloppy technique. So which is it?

I hope your 40k+ posts aren't as ridiculous and contradictory as the posts I've seen from you over the last couple days.

Compton is a war zone. A shooting range isn't a war zone. When you walk the hard streets of Compton, you'd better be ready to deal in hot lead and cold steel.

Don't forget to use duck tape to affix extra plates to your back so that you can survive hits from a .338 Lapua.

If you're gonna walk the streets of Compton, you gonna need to upgrade the hard armor to resisting .50 Browning.

Every thread I've ever seen fnfalman in from the past few months have turned out way off topic because of his tangents, or an arguement because of the stupidity of his statements.

How about we get back to the OP? If you don't have a link to help, then don't post. Take your pissing contest somewhere else

You will need the following:
-A2 stock body
-Rifle buffer tube
-Rifle buffer
-Rifle buffer spring

I tend to prefer to order parts from Rainier, Bravo Company or
Brownells.

Maybe if people were to actually responded to the guy's query instead of going off tangent themselves, I wouldn't go off tangent.

Sometimes it's best to educate the posters by giving them an example of their own device.

OP- I used Stag A2 kits from riflegear.com and they seemed high quality and well built. They were solid and light years above a Model 1 that I saw. Palmetto also sells the entire A2 stock kit for 74 bucks I think, I have confidence that theirs would be nice as well. I had an A2 Stag stock on my Smith M&P15 for quite a while and really liked it.

Yep, they all are. I feel quite stupid for actually engaging in a few.

Take your own advice. Maybe you contribute in the other sub-forums but I have yet to see a single post where you provided any viable information. 40K+ of this crap and he's still around

What valuable contributions have you posted? Other than talking smack about Marines marksmanship?

You should be embarassed by the lack of posting discipline on your part. I didn't make you do anything you didn't want to. Hell, I didn't even address any post particularly to you at all until you started to do to me.
