Glock Fan from Eastern PA
Greetings Friends:
I am Jeff from Eastern PA. I recently purchased a Glock 23 Gen 3 from my local gun shop. I got a majorly good deal. So here I am.
I will be carrying for personal protection and home defense uses.
I am also looking for information on desensitizing my wife...she has a slight fear of guns but is improving. She too will need a carry piece...EVENTUALLY.
Can't wait to meet some people and make some new friends.
Thanks,
Jeff

Welcome from Luzerne County, near the 80/81 interchange.
For your wife, start with single shots from a .22 rifle. I used a scope for my wife to give her confidence to start, then increased the challenge by having her shoot with the irons. Once she was comfortable, she shot my .22 pistol. Then she graduated to 9mm and .38. The key is to support her without pushing her into something that will scare her.

There's a large membership here from Northeastern PA. In the vicinity of: Northampton, Lehigh, Lackawanna, and Monroe counties there are, also, lots of gun clubs and indoor shooting ranges too.

Thanks
Can't thank everyone enough for the warm welcomes. I already feel right at home.
Looking forward to a LONG time of use from my purchase.
