12 gauge conversion adapters

Anybody use the 12 or 20 gauge inserts that allow you to shoot 9mm, .45 acp, .40 s&w, .357 sig, etc? I've seen some that are non rifled, and one 9mm that is rifled labeled for the "zombies". Reminds me of conversion barrels for Glock. Do these really work?!
