Going to finally try WST in .45
Have been using 4.0gr. Clays with a 200gr. LSWC for my .45 game and target shooting for years. The Clays ran out and after reading several posts here extolling the benefits of Winchester's WST, I decided to give it a try.
For a 200 gr LSWC
My Lyman 47th ed. lists a low of 4.8gr for a vel. of 825fps.
And 5.6gr. for 933fps.
I have settled on a beginning load of 4.6gr. because that is what I get from the .57 cavity on my Pro Auto Disk(lee data lists 4.7). I have loaded some, but not shot them yet.
My question is, is this too low?? I would think it would be at least around 800fps, but have no chrono.
Also would like to hear what other loads using WST have proven good for the .45?
