In and Out Burger is better than the Heart Attack Grill.

Denny's? Serious? We avoid that place unless we have no choice... and even then... we try to not go there.
If you see an IHOP (International House of Pancakes), go there instead. Trust me.
However, if you are set on getting American diner food... here are some recommendations for the all American grease diet.
@Sausage patties (not the links), order at least 2 patties, savor the grease coming off the patties
@Bacon, lots of bacon, fried extra crispy, at least 4 strips
@Hash browns, fried extra crispy, tell the waitress to fry the crap out of it, they will do it too, top with some ketchup and tobasco sauce, with a dash of black pepper
@Corned beef hash, fried extra crispy, maybe some black pepper, nothing else needed, it's that good
@Grits, lots of butter and crumbled bacon in it, ask for bacon salt if they have it, truly addictive
@Pancakes, you got a lot of choices here, buttermilk, blueberry, whole grain hearty wheat, and cheesecake even, make sure you slather a ton of butter on it, and pour the syrup until it is soaked into every square inch of the pancake, the pancake should end up weighing about twice as much with the syrup soaked in it
@Country buttermilk biscuit with sausage gravy, loaded with sausage grease cooked up into a think gravy with chunks of sausage in the gravy, as you chew on the thick ass biscuit
@Chicken fried steak topped with, yep, more sausage gravy, basically a flat piece of steak covered in batter and flour and fried like it's fried chicken, and smothered with gravy, served with fixin's above, yum-oh!
@Fresh fruit bowl, yeah, gotta have something healthy to balance all that grease out, right?
I think that's it for now for Denny's... I'll see if I can think of more favorites there for breakfast food. Skip the other stuff like the sandwiches, although I do vouch for the Moons over My Hammy, but the All-American breakfast is where it's at.

Ditto that! How long do you think your car would run if you didn't put some fresh oil in it regularly?

I think a stent and a peripheral artery angioplasty would be in order after eating that porkfest.

Just down a big glass of olive oil, and red wine once a day for the blood vessel pig fat clean out.

The picture isn't exactly accurate. The lady on the left should be growing two small shrubs underneath eath arm and smell like she hasn't had a bath in a month, and then you have it.

Cracker Barrel?
Then again, I'm from SoCal, so I don't know grits. But, I've had 'em at CB and they aren't bad. Belleville & Jackson locations, Son!

Walmart, pick up a box; follow directions on box. Experiment with recipes. Go for it.
One of the easiest is garlicky cheese grits.

I just like plain lumpy grits with lots of butter and crumbled bacon bits. That's all I need, nothing fancy like cheese and garlic.
