Really cool Felix baumgartner got so much fans around the world. He is an awesome guy, very sat back and normal... unless doing his stunts. My brother interviewed him once, said he was very friendly. Came with his own little stunt helicopter flying over their heads and giving lifts
Very good point about people looking normal in movies.

Famke Janssen was so hot in 96 in Goldeneye as Agent Onatop. She also looked uberhot in the X-Men series as Jean Grey/Phoenix.

I think Diana Druger looked pretty good in Troy but not so good in Inglorious Basterds.

Run for office in the Bundesrat! Horst Seehofer has to retire sometime.

It's that or run for Bundespräsident. You could then issue issue honorary titles to the Cop Talk regulars, then go on a long vacation.

Once you are elected, I want to be invited to Schloss Bellevue for my investiture as Herrenmeister of Arizona.

Of course, I will appear for your investiture in office and will attend your Großer Zapfenstreich.

A little late to the party, but T2 was much better than the first Terminator.

For some reason, I never liked any of the Terminator movies. Too much violence and not enough narrative detailing the storyline behind it. Three people authored it and to me, it showed.

It is a popular franchise though.

I don't think any of Arnold's movies have ever been accused of being overly plot-driven. Except maybe Kindgarten Cop.

It's not a toomah!

I disagree. Total Recall had some plot twists that no one saw coming.

Weather sucks little bit, but can't wait till Christmas season begins. I love Christmas.

I loved the prison escape scene where the guy hit the "Halarm" and Topper had to fight for his life with the rubber chicken bow and arrow.

Nein! You are overlooking the most famous Austrian of all time!

Falco.

Rock me Amadeus und Der Kommissar! He was the only German language musician to ever achieve a number one hit in the U.S. market.

Famous Austrians that I know of:

Christoph Waltz
Erich Von Stroheim
Joseph Haydn
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (without whom Falco would only be an one-hit-wonder)
Franz Schubert
Johann Strauss
Gaston Glock (who we all owe this website to)
Ferdinand Porsche
Daniel Swarovski (my mom has invested quite heavily in his wares)
The Von Rothschild clan
Franz Ferdinand (the Archduke who brought us WW1, not the alt-rock band)
Marie Antoinette (the first pop princess?)
All the well known Holy Roman Emperors
Friedrich Hayek
Nicola Tesla
Sigmund Freud
Hans Asperger
Gregor Mendel
Amon Goth (Nazi commandant of the Krakow camp in Schindler's List)
Oskar Schindler
Wolfgang Puck
Simon Wiesenthal

Quite a distinguished list, eh?

So right. I watched HS1 and 2, each at least 20 times. For years I saw new hidden gags, especially after seeing all the other movies it makes fun off.
I also never understood the gag with the home improvement guy until like 10 years later because the show wasnt shown here for years. Completely different nowadays.

Right he was kind of cool. Now that I am a Kommissar, I always smile when I hear the song on the radio.

Funny, never knew that Tesla was born in the Austrian Empire, allthough its now Croatia. So its not a 100% austrian thing. Makes me sad to read this: Austrian Empire.. where did the good times go? Now I live in a small boring country without beaches or battleships.

Good list, I am impressed by your knowledge, I dont even know all of them lol.
Especially Glock has to be mentioned. Not only did he build the best pistol in the world, he also has a hot young girlfriend who used to be a police officer when he met her. Colleages of me knew here from the academy.

A big part of it is that a lot of people hear those names and automatically think they are German instead or in the case of Tesla, don't even know where he's from because he moved around so much.

There are more famous Austrians of course, but those are just the ones that I actually have some knowledge of. I have been around this Earth a long time and read a lot of books... you will too in time, my son.

I forgot all about Jingle All the Way. That's one of the best Christmas movies ever. Right up there with Bad Santa and Santa's Slay.

I loved Commando. You have to give props to a screenwriter that names the lead character's daughter "Jenny" when the lead character can't pronounce "J".

I think it doesn't matter which story it was, Arnold just did the best he could with the names and places.

Heck, he didn't do any better in Hercules or Conan the Barbarian.
