No. But, I had neighbours who were kind enough to blast some off behind my duplex, so I could wake up and go to work; and it of course annoyed my my wife, (every frickin' year). They will run out in a few days, and life will go back to what passes as normal.

Fireworks stopped at about 2345 around here, then was promptly woke up around 0355 for yet another severe thunderstorm warning, for my county this time. Power is out across a good chunk of the county, I haven't even looked outside for damage. National weather Service in my area is calling for several rounds of severe weather today with a muggy high of 100 with the heat index around 110. A perfect day to lose power.

Fireworks wasn't that bad here. I think it's because everyone (well, those that actually work) have to get up in the morning and go to work.

Fireworks didn't stop until two... my dog was crazy all night... but then again, the neighbors had been playing with fireworks for a month... cops running around all night along with the FD... it sounded like a damn war out here.

By the time I got home, all was quiet. It greatly surprised me, though; New Year's sounded like Fallujah here.

Power is finally restored after some nasty thunderstorms early on the 5th, and then in the afternoon. The weekend is supposed to be much cooler here, with highs in the low 80's
