Price to sell 642-2

I have a S&W 642-2 bought new by my son a few years ago. Only has a few hundred rounds of FMJ range ammo through it and is in mint condition. If I sell it what would be a fair price to ask for it?
Thx

In my area all Concealed type handguns are getting harder to get. We are charging $449.00 for a new J-Frame. They used to be $399 at our Shop and we weren't the cheapest. . I would not take less than $350 if I were selling it. That would have to be a privet sale. A Gun Shop won't give you that.

Used 642's in good shape go for $300-$350 private sale in southeast Michigan. Shops seem to offer about 35% of what they're worth.

Good advice--- worth every penny in my opinion.

Sell it outright and charge 300 or so. They are hard to come by and that price is what they went for retail prior to Obama getting into the WH.

Mine is a Pro series and I picked it up slightly used for $339. I love it, it shoots great and it easy to hide in my waistband. Hard to beat a good J frame.

Around here I would go in the 300 range. Not much more.

Did you ever sell the 642? I'm thinking of selling one of my 442s. I'm going to ask $350. and see what happens. Low mileage, smooth action, and clean.
