What did you say?
I’m dropping my standards so that I can buy more.

Berto, I am going to let you on a little secret so don't tell any one. OK?
I bought one of the first Kel Tec P3AT when they first came out at the local gun show. I bought one box of 50 FMJ and before I got home (this is Wyoming, a lot of space to pull off the road and safety shoot) I shot the whole box up without one malfunction. At first I was very happy about the results until later I realized that I wore off the hide on the inside of my thumb. I didn't have the blood that you had but you will soon realize that is an annoying spot to hurt on your hand.
If I am going to shoot more that a few magazines in Ruger/Kel Tec I will tape up the inside thumb area!
I don't need to do that for my S&W 329 with full mag loads and that is one gun you do have to suck it up.

I probably should have worded the title different to stave off the dooshbags....it's definitely not a big deal for me to get a boo boo shooting.
Lots of people get hammer bite from the BHP or A1 1911 config guns- I never did.
Some get it from the thumb latch on J frames- again, I never had that problem.
Once in a while I'll feel the hammer drop from the Makarov nick me when shooting, but never blood. Never had slide bite either...
Two guns nail me, this one and the 629 with the 'presentation' grips- I'll be changing those.

The S&W presentation grips are better lookers than shooters. If they fit poorly along the recoil hump on the frame they will "eat away" at the web of the shooting hand.
The sad thing is that I used to use them because I didn't know any better. I have a small box full of old S&W grips.
It is OK, for what they sell for on eBay they are a better investment than my 401, S&P and CD's

EXACTLY.
They were okay on the 625 I had...if only because the gun was an easy shooter, but I need Pachmyar Compacts for the shorty 629. I have some Kingwood Hogues, but they're too long and I don't like the fingergrooves on the N frames.

I took a bunch of friends to the range for a little fun.
While I was working with the ladies on trigger control with the Volquartsen Rugers, (great guns, great fun) my buddies tried to out-macho each other with my model 357, the alloy 41Mag.
Completely ignoring the gloves packed with the guns, they blazed away until they'd bled all over the bench. Good times?

Nothing new here folks, it's part of shooting if you do it often. The 629 nails me too (a 3" lew Horton).
You should nevermind M&P, you don't know **** about shooting, kiddo.

Lol for a minute before I saw the smiley I was thinking, "M&P is REALLY going to lay into this guy for calling him Kiddo."
But now all is well. GT is safe once again.

Hey, Berto. If shooting your gun is making you bleed, you're holding the wrong end.

Don't they make specific grips just to avoid hammer bite? With a little tangy thingy?
Don't want to injure delicate hands!!!
