Patrol Rifle Slings
I know this is a personal decision but I wanted to see what slings others are using and if you like/dislike it.
Please specify if it is 1pt, 2pt, etc and make/model and pic if available.
Thanks and stay safe all..

Went from a 1 point Savvy Sniper sling to a 2 point Savvy Sniper M4 Lite sling.
I like the 2 point much better. It doesn't allow the rifle to bang my junk when I drop it.

2 point VTAC. Knowing what I know now I would spring for the padded version.

I prefer Magpul or CrossTac ambi slings. The CrossTac is great for the money.

I use the magpul sling. For patrol I keep it in 2 point configuration. When we suit up to kick in doors I change it to a 1 point.

I like the TacStrap: http://www.tacstrap.com/slingorder.html
It is 1 or 2 point convertible & is a little wider than most slings so it distributes the weight a little better in my opinion.
The guy that makes these was very open to questions & quick to reply to emails & shipped fast.

Magpul allows me to change from 1 point to 2 point and to switch from right hand to left hand shooting.
Practical and versatile.

I've been running VTACs, particularly the padded, adjustable two points for several years. I am intrigued, however, by Magpul's offerings, particularly in the one to two point convertability, and the much better shoulder to shoulder transition with their end plate installed.

I have the VTAC and recently switched to the MS2 sling, If I did it again I would of waited for th MS3 sling due to the slightly wider webbing and the attachment clip thingies. I am liking the 1 point.

I can't remember who makes the one point sling I use. It's either CAA or blackhawk. It's worked thus far for me.

I have DaBigBR's old VTAC padded adjustable 2 point sling on my 6920 and I really like it, but I am not a LEO and therefore don't use it in the same circumstances as you will. For my intended purpose, no complaints. Nothing but good things to say about it.

Vickers Combat Application Sling, padded version, from Blue Force Gear. It's a 2 point quick adjustable and the best on the market IMHO.

One/two pint convertable VTAC. Ran the one point for a long time until an exercise in which the rifle swung free, swung backward and I suddenly sang soprano.

I run a single point made by Northeast Tactical (I think)....and yes, I will admit that it has the bungies on it lol. So far no problems with it hitting the family jewels (knocks on wood). I am interested in the Magpul MS3 and if I had the extra cash laying around I'd love to try it out.

Same here.
In the Military I got to use about 20+ different slings as an Infantry soldier and as a Scout. Out of all the slings, the Blue Force padded 2 point was by far my favorite. Its comfort and ease of adjustment is second to none.
Next up would be Tactical Tailors 3 point, as the webbing was wide and the quick disconect was great when I needed to hand off or ditch the long gun quick.

I first used a single point Tactical Tailor but I didn't like how it swung around and hit me in the knees and junk all the time. I switched over to a two point padded VTAC a couple months ago.

This and for these reasons. All it needs is padding. I have removeable padding from my SKD that I may move over.
MS2 and an ASAP.
Rifle is now a 7.5 inch Noveske Diplomat/DDM4 hybrid I built. I think I'm going to yank the MBUS in favor of Troy irons.
I have fixed DD irons if I ever decide to lose the magnification.
I'm converting my 14.5 upper to SPR duties. Trying to decide on a Nikon 223 or some Burris mid range scope to go with a PEPR.
I'll have to take pics tonight.

Not sure how you have yours set up, but all you need to do is go to hardware store and pick up 1" steel D ring. Run the rear webbing through it and you now have 2 pt or 1 pt. I have an hk hook adaptor on front of sling and it is easy to unhook and reattach to rear d ring to make it 1 pt. fwiw I've never felt a need to make mine 1 pt
Sent from my iPhone... which probably auto-corrected something wrong
