Thats not a 590A1. It is a 590, though. The A1 has a thicker barrel, metal trigger assembly, and a metal safety. This one has a thinner, lighter weight barrel, plastic trigger assy and plastic safety. Thats the only difference. I have the same one by choice. You could swap out the trigger assy and safety for metal and keep the lighter barrel keeping the overall weight down a bit. 8+1 along with a thicker barrel adds considerable weight. I love mine (50668). Speedfeed stock, GR sights, "accessory" lug... This one has it all.

Well it's not a A1 it doesn't have a heavy walled barrel no metal trigger guard/safety by the time you get done paying for a ffl it might very well be...around 500.00 bucks.

I just got a 590A1 model 51663 and I payed OTD 507.00
Do you have a dicks sporting goods by you? Cause that's where I got mine...I had to wait though for like 3 months.

Thanks for correcting me regarding the 590A1...

I misunderstood what I was looking at!
Thought that the Ghost Ring sights meant it was A1..

So, the price is fair, but not outstanding?

Rather go local, if that is the case.

I do have Dick's....but will first give my local shop a chance to come up with a good price.
Nothing against Dick's, as I have used them for ammo and hunting clothing, optics, etc...but for guns, I like to give my LGS the first chance.

Thanks for the heads up!

My local gun store wanted about $100 dollars more. I'm all about small busniss, but I have 3 little ones with one on the way, so I couldn't really justify unnecessarily dishing out the extra cash. Either way, the Mossberg is a great choice.

Wouldn't be bad for a 590a1. If I remember right a paid $470 at lgs for a 590a1 with grs. Those suckers are hard to find!
