Lock up is important. Like I said not sure if that test is relevant. I was going to try a 13 lb spring and a 14lb (if they make it). I don't believe in cutting coils. Cutting coils actually increases the total spring rate. A spring is a lever, as you shorten the lever it gets stiffer. Not sure why people cut coils and the springs behave softer (so they say). But I am 100% confident that cutting coils of a spring makes it stiffer. I am sure it has to do with preload and where in the curve the spring is operating. But most sites I see talk about cutting coils off a ISMI spring. Wolf is very different. Not as many coils to fiddle with not worth the trouble.

By the way, Stevie - hit factor difference would be .05, not .5 as you stated earlier. I are gooder at math.

Not bad for my second match, eh?
Sounds like you're a good shot, better than I ever hope to be. But, with a little humility, you'd be a lot better, JMHO........... DOC

Have you ever chopped the springs on a car as opposed to installing a spring compression kit to get the ride height lower? Take a look at this: http://craig.backfire.ca/pages/autos/cutting-springs
In a Glock it's not about cutting the spring to make it softer, it's about fitting the spring properly for travel and preload.

Been a heated, ongoing thing between a few folks here locally. Spills over into boy's night out, gets alcohol fueled, Little Stevie starts bar fights...

Seriously, just r***ing.

Always ends the same way, with two hits... someone hitting Little Stevie and Little Stevie hitting the ground.

We both got beat by Cy's wife wearing some sort of cast on her leg and shooting a plastic gun. She is a great lady and a great shooter. So maybe we should invite her and Cy to boys night and she can talk smack to you as well.

Not to be a a bragger. But yeah, I know all about that stuff. People used to pay me to work on their race cars and even fly me across country with my tools. So this is a area I am pretty familiar with.
