Kept getting held up, but today the first batch of prototypes were made!

They look great, but I've already got a list of changes to make, and need to work out the details and how to make them more efficiently than one at a time hand fitting each one.

Stay tuned! Now that the project has gone physical, it will start moving a bit faster.

Would I switch out the trigger to a metal one? Nahh I never really mod'ed it out like some other do. I know a few on KTOG that mods theirs to the max, but I kept mine stock. The problem you are going to have with the Sub2K is there are not alot of owners out there. Kel Tec's yearly production of the Sub2K is insanely limited.

I wish you luck.
Thanks BB, There really are some crazy modders over there on KTOG. Some of the guns look terrible, bit some are also real works of creativity and function. I've started to slip down the path..planning a few tasteful modifications. I won't be bulking mine up with optics and rails though.

Nice looking trigger. Can you provide more details?

Thanks cpolk!

I don't want to "leak" too much about this, until it's in actual production, but here are a few tidbits about it.

I'm going to try to produce them in several configurations.

Material:
"aircraft grade" aluminum. (Will disclose more specific type later)
Next attempt may be in 304/316 stainless.

Styles- Hoping to try out the following shapes:
  • A thin solid ( both in width and thickness) model. ( Alum & S.S.)
  • A thicker( pictured) model with two styles of "skeletonizing". ( Alum & S.S.)
  • Flat faced)(which I tend to like the feel of) , as well as smoothed or beveled front edges.

Not sure if there might be any interest in a low-high carbon steel to blue to the same color as the factory metals.. not considering at this time.

Current prototype weight range: roughly a 10th of an ounce. or about a gram.
