Howa & Weatherby Varmint Rifles/differences

While being owned by the same company, what are the differences of these rifles? I'm talking about the VS2 and equivalent Howa model.

I have the howa 1500 in 270, had it about 10 years, killed deers, hogs and coyotes with it, out to 350 yards, as good a shooting gun as I have and I have several Remington 700's around here too. very accurate and easy kick. has the sythetic stock and stainless metal, it's my go to rifle in any weather for anything. it's just a good gun, put a good scope on it and your ready to go.

The only differences between my HOWA 1500s and my Weatherby Vanguards are the stocks and the bolt shroud.

What do you guns think about their varmint offerings? I don't know much about the specific design differences, but the vanguard is 2 inches longer and priced 70 higher.

Which would you go with if you had to pick one?
