Think I bought my last gun for 2012 :(

Well, I think its reasonable to say that I bought my last gun for this year... I know its only June, but Ive really purchased a bunch this year already so its time to show some restraint.

For this year ive finished up by picking up a new Saiga .308 which I plan on converting.

I have some AK's but I must admit, im psyched to be getting my hands on an "AK" style gun that shoots .308. I think I got it for about as cheap as it can be had...

$590 including shipping... I couldnt find a single one any cheaper.....

Congratulations! Since Saiga are banned here may I ask for some pictures later on, please?

Yeah, right! Most of us have said such things and become liars, me included.

Re the Saiga, good buy. I had one and stupidly sold it, probably the most wrong headed sale I've ever made. Very reliable gun, not impressed with the sights but things have gotten much better since then.

Went through two 6.5mm Grendels that didn't work out for me. Just bought a Remington R-15 in 30 Remington AR. Great gun. Don

Uh, you're supposed to do "April Fools" jokes on April 1st.

Alternatively, I believe you -- thousands wouldn't -- but I do.

Last gun of the year. Who you kidding?

Opportunity will present itself again this year, and you will find a way...

Nice mid-year catch, by the way!

Will do! It shipped yesterday with an anticipated delivery date of next Thursday the 7th.

Gonna have to do some heavy reading/video watching to figure out how to convert!

I may buy one more gun this year... But then I'll be focusing on the guns I do have- night sights, lights, and most importantly, ammo!!!

That's a great price! When you convert it are you going for full or partial AK style? Wood, plastic or folding furniture? And i think i know the reason - i like the AK style but - why convert? What do you think it will cost you to convert?
(If you don't post pics when you're done later too....no cookie!!!)

Haven't bought anything (firearms) this year.

I need to get a mount/rings/scope for a couple of rifles, and I'm trying to find a S&W Shield in .40. (Just heard tonight, that they're not even 'approved' in Maryland, yet. Maybe by July.)

IF I can find a Combat Commander for a decent price, it'll be mine, though!!

Lots of stuff going on, here.

My goal was to not buy any guns this year. The plan was to spend my cash on reloading ammo, and my time on becoming a better shot...

But this guy at work was selling a like-new Kimber Ultra-carry II for $650. How can you pass that up?

And ammo costs are so much lower when you practice with a Smith & Wesson M&P .22 pistol...

And it's only June!

Mostly my plans are to just move the trigger group and do the pistol grip install... I don't think I'll be doing wood as honestly I would have bought a vepr if I was going that route I assume.......

I think the conversion parts are cheap?

Now that you have admitted to being a bold, two-faced, gun-hoarding, liar, how can we believe anything you say from now on?

Psssssst! Hey buddy, you interested in a Winchester model 97 made in 1899, in 12........

I really need that magic incantation you're using to stop buying guns.

You know someone is going to refer you back to this thread when you buy another gun this year.

Right now, ammo is a higher priority for me, but I’m pretty well set for now. I have two handguns and two long guns on my short list.

Congrats! Good idea, from now until after the election prices will go up and up on guns and ammo. Buy now, if you don't have what you want, get it now.

This is the 16 inch barrel ... I'm guessing as such this will be loud in 308
