I carried a Spyderco Endura for ~30 years, after reading about the guy who had a new Orleans cop grab him around the neck from behind I started looking for something with a speed opening device for the left front pocket; and bought a CRKT M16-14ZSF. The studs on the blade serve as hand-guards when open and speed flippers when closed, on drawing dig the bottom flipper into the corner of the pocket and it is opened on the draw, faster than any switchblade and ready for "Operation Castration" if grabbed from behind..

Can't break up a 30 yr relationship, the Spyderco still rides in the right front pocket for every day use, to keep the CRKT scalpel sharp.

No, you didn't.

"The C10 Endura is one of Spyderco's most recognizable knives. It was first introduced in and won Blade Magazine "Overall Knife Of The Year" in 1990. The Endura was one of the first models that Spyderco made with a tip-up clip. It has gone trough 4 major revisions since its inception. It also debuted with its little brother the C11 Delica, they have gone through most major and minor revisions together."

ouch.

I see about 9 Spyderco models before 1990, including the Police, but not the Endura or the Delica. I still have my molded clip Delica from that era.

Byrd Cara Cara mainly, sometimes a Kershaw Scallion. Owned a Spyderco a while ago and can't tell much of a difference. About as much knife as you can get for 27 dollars.

I have probably been carrying one for or another of an Endura for 20 years, if you count the police model in that. That one is still in my vest pocket as I type.

They are nice, this-one isn't mine, belongs to a friend of mine, purchased used from e-bay, in very good, almost new condition, blade was razor-sharp...

I will be going to the dreaded Demokratik Peoples' Republik of Maryland this weekend, so I guess I'll need to carry a sub-3 inch folder.

It will probably be one of the Delicas from this set:

The Okie Corral
