Thought I should update this. My new carry knife is this red Benchmade 960:
ps
Lousy cellphone pic doesn't do it justice.

Oh I like that. It is orange and black, right? Love my Orioles colors and nice blade. Mind me asking how much?

That would have been my reaction. I got it at a LGS going out of business sale for $50.00 NIB. Probably will never find a deal like that again.

Heavy Duty
I carry either a Zero Tolerance 0300 or a Grayman Satu. These are both big stout folders but will go through anything without any trouble. Extreme sturdiness, excellent design, and first-rate quality. I occasionally carry a Chris Reeve Umnumzaan or large Sabenza when my clothing won't easily accommodate one of the larger folders. All of these are worthy of consideration.

I use to spend some cash on knives but lately the most I've been spending is about $60-70.
I just bought a Kershaw RJ1 and yeah it is made in China but I gotta say for $24, it is a nice knife. Also bought a Kershaw Cyro and will get the bigger version when it comes out in Oct.

Glad to hear it's a good knife. I just picked on up off eBay to throw in the range bag!

It really is an awesome knife. I payed $105 for it from amazon. For it's size it is a fairly light knife due to the skeletonized steel liners. The blade is a 3.86" FFG CPM S30V super sharp from the factory and holds an edge very well. Check out some reviews on youtube. You really can't go wrong for the price.

Hi folks,
This is my first post...
Just picked up a Benchmade Barage 581.

The assisted opening, the axis blade-lock, the G10/Aluminum scales - lots to love.

I'll have to see if the knife place has one in. They have a decent Spyderco inventory, so I'm optimistic.

I'd probably get it from GP if I like it, averages $50 cheaper on most stuff.

gerber icon tanto. It did require some work before it was fit to carry but now it's rock solid.
