New acquisitions, one of which will make it into the EDC rotation.
I'm hoping to have both signed by Mr. Janich this weekend.

Chris Reeve Sebenza. Have had it since 2000. Best knife I have ever owned. It is a working knife, and sharpen it as it needs it (about once or twice a month depending on how much I have used it opening boxes, cutting rope, you name it) on ceramic rods.

I carry a Kershaw 1660 when I am away from the house. At home I carry a Leatherman folding knife, it is much more work friendly. When I am out hunting or shooting I carry a fixed blade Ka-bar. I have others but I think the ones above work best for me.

Benchmade Ritter Grip or Strider SNG.
I love the Ritter Grip because of the weight to size ratio. It carries great and the S30V blade takes and HOLDS and incredible edge.

This thing is so light I have to keep checking to make sure I did not lose it. Best bang for the buck VG-10 steel, not bad.

I carry the benchmark 710 everyday. I love this knife the blade is D2 and is very sharp and durable. I have carried this with for 18 months in Afghanistan 12 months in sudan and 6 months in Iraq. It goes everywhere with me. It has seen a lot and still looks great. It can fight or it equally used to dice vegetables. I can cut a seatbelt with one pull and I trust this with my life. Highly recommend it.

knives are such personal things.
one thing i strongly suggest is that the op get these knives in his (her?) hands and make sure it feels right. so many knives can be eliminated from consideration this way.
i have made the mistake of buying on line and then getting less than ideal products for my purposes. And yes some of that is likely using knives, gaining experience and then evolving what i like and need/want in a knife.

Same here.
Spyderco Kiwi (C75P) with Prelock S&W Model 342 AirLite .38 Special +P
I especially like the Kiwi because it fits in my watch pocket.
It's also about as 'gray' as you can get when it comes to knives.
