Possible convert here.
So I currently have an XDm but with some serious customer service issues I'm currently having I'm thinking about making the switch to glock and selling my XDm. I'm new here and just looking to gain some knowledge into the world of glock.

Welcome to GT, what customer service issues are you having. Is it with SA or the gun shop you bought it from. Whats wrong with the XDM? I am on the XD site and some people have had issues, most seem to have been solved

It has a cracked frame, and Springfield has had it for about 6 weeks now, and when I called last, the answer I got for a time line is "we don't know, maybe a week, maybe another month" And this was after they originally told me 2-4 weeks at the most. I understand that it takes time, but I can never get a straight answer from them on when my gun will be back. They told me it was because the frames haven't left Croatia yet, so they can't tell how long it will be....

Well I finally received word from Springfield that they will fix my pistol for $77 because they said it was a cartridge failure and cracked my frame and ejector. As much as I want to believe them, I really don't because I had looked over my pistol before I sent it in and didn't notice any other damage other than the frame. They said the tech inspected the injector and notices that it was bent and didn't function, just flopped around instead of having tension. I had inspected it and although it might have been bent, it definately had tension to it. I didn't talk to a tech, just the customer service and they didn't seem to have a clue about my questions that I had asked. Like the fact that there was no noticible difference between any of my rounds fired, and I didn't even know the frame was cracked until I went to clean it after the range.
They pretty much told me no, it was definately a round failure and it's not covered under the warranty. They said to contact winchester about trying to get reimbursed, but I have no idea if that will ever happen. The only good news is that I will have my pistol back next week, and chances are it will be up for sale so I can buy a glock.
