When I got home, I went back to my mail to read the academy sports flier and got the first number wrong, it said $299 my bad

Buy them as soon as you find them at a good price. The place where I bought my 25 round mag told me when I picked up my Takedown last week that it is a general stock item. I picked one up anyway, and when I came in today, they were all gone. They said they get their order each Wednesday, and sometimes they are sold out the same day. Otherwise, they are gone by Friday (and they are closed on Thursday).

Cdnn usually has the BX-25 mags on sale every couple of weekends for $20 I believe.

Shot mine for the first time over the weekend. Tried 5 different brands of ammo and it ate everything. From crappy stuff to premium. No issues.
Fun handy little carbine.
Not crazy about the sights though. I'm either going to change them out or possibly mount an optic of some kind.
Other than that minor gripe, this one is a winner for me.
Congrats on your purchase!

These things are too freakin cool and the bag really sweetens it. I found it the other day in a gun mag at walmart and thought hey I should check this thing out when I get home. I didn't remember till I came across hickok45 demoing one. Think I need one! Was trying to get a feel for what the right price was. Was thinking bass pro would have them but not shown on their website.
Looking at those pictures though it looks like you can't pack the receiver/stock with a scope mounted which would be a bummer. I would want a 4x mounted

I see that this is already a controversial thing on other forums. There are a few threads on ar15 where people have spoken about what scopes and height rings would work. I was figuring on using my cheapie Simmons I have on my winchester 22 but I think those are too long. Someone on there had a pic of a certain weaver scope that worked. I'm sure there is more info out there so its time for some searchin
