Yesterday read your article in AH (Awesome, by the way, especially the most recent Ayoob Files) about the LEOSA and got me thinking about a.38 backup. Two questions,

1) So you suggest a hammer shroud or an exposed hammer?
2) Is there any particular revolver manufacturer you'd suggest? I'm thinking a S&W for ankle carry

1. Definitely internal hammer ("hammerless") configuration.

2. S&W Centennial and Ruger LCR seem ideally configured for the purpose you describe.
