My new offensive SHTF pistol

Just picked up a BNIB H&K Mark 23 for less than $2k!

Range report to come tomorrow.

Nice pistol. It's super accurate and built like a tank. It will easily handle a steady diet of the hottest +P rounds.

I used to have a Mk23, a USP 45 and an HK45.
I still have the HK45.

SHTF, hope you have a sling for it. My buddy who is SF stated it is a great gun but he never uses it because it is heavy and banging on your leg all day puts a hurting on his leg. So he carries the P226.

It is a huge pistol, and nearly useless for anything I use a handgun for. That said, it is one of the coolest handguns ever made. I'd love to have one someday. Congrats!

Under $2000? I didn't realize those cost that much.

But people call the Beretta 92/M9 a boat anchor...

Congrats on the new pistol/club.

Sounds like you got a good deal on it. I saw one yesterday at I think 2400. It is massive.

That price is ridiculous.

There are a few brand new on Gunbroker under $1900.

I love this cool "huge" HK. I just wish HK didnt go with that ridiculous proprietary accessory rail. Yes I get that it was developed before picatinny rails were all the rage but they could have easily re-tooled years ago.

You'll need suspenders for your harness.

I don't think HK is interested in updating the M23. It is what it is, I guess. Its a novelty piece and it sort of sells itself.

I will say that it makes an awesome range gun. I shoot mine quite a bit.

Its like a dually one ton pickup. You can use it as a daily driver and haul and pull anything you want. It eats fuel like a fat kid at a pizza party and takes a ten acre hay field to turn around, but damn its just cool. LOL

Very cool gun OP
