beretta nano
Hi first off I have two glocks. A 27 and a 19talo limited gold. I am interested in a Beretta nano. Are they any good? Function and material wise. They seem pretty well priced. I have the lcp but am looking for a small 9mm. Thanks to all who respond.

I had one....sold it after two trips back to Beretta for FTE's without being fully resolved. I have a friend who has one that runs flawlessly. Luck of the draw I guess. I bought a Kahr CM9 recently that has run perfectly so far and its lighter. The BU9 is a nice piece, I will probably acquire one down the road when they are more field tested.

Very short grip, seemed to top heavy in my hand but I never fired it. Went with the Kahr CW9 and with about 200 rounds through it no problems.

My pocket carry. Never a single issue as it cycled everything I have ever put thru it.

There's tons of postings about the Nano on the Beretta forum. Many feeding issues, light primer strikes among the most discussed. Spend some time there before laying out cash.
I owned an early Nano..... didn't like it that much and sold it to a female who can out shoot me with it.
Who knew?.....

My local shop has them for $350. I'm not crazy about the ergos though.

Considered a Nano and selected the Beretta PX4 SubCompact instead. Most pleased - though its obviously a larger weapon.

I was surprised at how much fun it is to shoot. i expectd to fire 50 rounds just to get a feel & went though 200 the first trip. It has good sights, trigger, & great reliability. It has been my pocket gun for a while now.

I have to agree about the ergonomics, the Nano just does not point naturally for me. I put a handall Jr from Hogue on it and that helps a little. I stoned a few burrs off the rails and there was an odd machine mark inside the slide that I stoned down. I'm probably at around 400 rounds without any malfunction. It is a stout little auto. All this being said, if it doesn't point naturally I'm not inclined to use it for EDC and will end up going with a Kahr CM9 for that purpose.

Look into a Sig P938. I love mine, it's my favorite small 9mm.

nano
hey guys thanks for all the responses. So was I wrong to think that the nano was small. Is it fact the same general size as my glock 27? certaintly can't carry that in my front pocket. Any other suggestions what about the cz2075? Looking for fairly small. Thanks again guys.

I own a Nano. Had numerous FTE right out the box. Sent it in to Beretta under warranty, they had to replaced my barrel and extractor.
This gun conceal better than the G26. A bit slimmer and shorter.

It's much thinner than the sub compact Glocks.

I have one and it's my EDC. Feels top heavy when it's empty. However, with a full mag that feeling disappears. Slim, accurate. Many complaints about FTE's, especially with earlier models. Beretta apparently made some design changes to the ejector. Had some FTE's with mine. Sent it back no charge and it was returned with new improved ejector and polished ramp. No problems since then. Apparently the rifling is different from Glock and you can shoot lead reloads (unverified, but several people have looked at the barrel's rifling and pronounced this to be the case).

I have a Nano, have put a few hundred rounds through it and like it. The ergos are a bit weird at first, but that's the tradeoff for having such an itty bitty gun that fires a real defensive cartridge. Nanos aren't meant to be super comfy range guns, they're meant to be super comfy carry guns that are carried a lot and shot mostly for practice. If you have to pull it on a BG, I doubt you'll care much that it's a bit nose heavy. It will put 9mm slugs on target when you pull the trigger. That's what it's for. Stick it in a bad guy's gut and pull the trigger and you're gonna have a real unhappy (or dead) bad guy.
