New member, not great welcome?
Ok so I just joined, and posted my story in another thread about carry issues and how I had an awful experience and my rights were violated.
I was flamed to death aside from possibly one post that seemed to support my rights to carry. Is this how the whole forums are, or did I just run into a really bad bunch on here right away?
I was hoping to find a friendly, supportive gun community as I love guns and gun rights.

Welcome to the boards!
Your first post should've been in here! Folks are great in here! We don't know who you are without posting here first. You could be some anti for all we know. Don't take things too personal.

God forbid you were open carrying, because if you were, you could ONLY be asking for attention or a zealot...
Anywho welcome!

Thanks guys, guess was just looking for some freinds since I was so stressed out by my recent issues.
To further introduce myself, I am 29 years old, live in NC and used to work in fire and ems for years, then went to security after an injury that kept me from lifting heavy amounts.
A majority of my family & friends is or has been in the military in one branch or another. I love this country with all my heart and soul, I am a devout Christian and enjoy exercising my 2nd amendment rights.

Oh man I just read your previous thread. Bad cops and OCing in one story! If you spent any time lurking you would have known better... But don't get down on it, we're not all a holes. At least not all the time...

Take two....
Welcome to GT!!! Sorry to hear about your rights violation and rough first post reception. Don't let it foul you on this place as there is a lot of good info and many good folks to communicate with.

Yes, it is...and the thread has been reopened.
All y'all are invited to come over and offer constructive advice as to how the OP can solve his problems.

Kind of like on the internet forums - People continually flip someone off who they know is obligated to not break the rules in response. Yeah, usually that type of stupidity eventually yields the rewards that are earned.
And then there are those trying so hard to be offended that they're imagining things that haven't even been said in a thread.

Welcome aboard. I haven't read your post but depending how you worded whatever it was and what the topic was with a post count near 1 I can see it going bad.
Doesn't happen that often that I see. But it does. There is even a Gen4 hater here.
My suggestion is to just continue in here. You will end up loving it here.

You will find some very nice people here, but, as with any gathering of people there will be all or almost all personality types present. Get used to it, and don't sweat it...............DOC

Read more, post less........a lot can be learned.
Your first post was a OP carry thread. That is one of the MOST
controversial topics available. I'll keep my opinions abou that
to myself. Anyrate,.........welcome to GT.
Hang around a bit, grow some thick skin, and enjoy yourself.

Welcome. As with any internet forum, you need thick skin especially when posting about controversial subjects. Be patient and read a lot of other posts to get a feel for the community. Take every post with a grain of salt and don't take it personal. We don't know you and you don't know us. If something/someone frustrates you, walk away. Posting in anger or frustration will be the quickest way to create a post that will get you flamed.
Lastly, be able to laugh at yourself. There are a lot of jokesters here and we like to poke fun at each other, although until you get to know them, sometimes it's hard to tell that it's all in good spirit.
When I first joined I did not post for quite some time and only read threads. At first I wasn't sure I even wanted to be a part of GT, but now it is my most visited site on the web. I cannot go a day without my daily dose of GT.
