Video of speer 135g +p .38 in action...wow!

Forgive me if you've seen this before but it is a great video displaying the effectiveness of the speer 135g +p GDHP in .38 special.

I know Mas endorses this round for .38 special snubbies and based on this test, I can see why. That expansion would ruin your whole day! I now carry this in my 642.

That's pretty impressive. I don't carry a short barrel .38 but my dad does. I think I'll buy a box for him.

That is a solid performer for sure. I used to carry a j-frame, might start again.

This is the NYPD issue round for .38 special revolvers. Another good choice is the Remington 158 grain LSWCHP.

Looks like a real good runner up to the .38+P DPX

I recently went back to carrying a snubby (Ruger LCR) and have been loading it with this round.

I read that the N.Y.P.D. was so impressed with this load that a large California P.D. has approved it. I can't remember which One. (my brain is old)

Where do you find the street data for DPX? Is there any?

Both LAPD and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department make this round available for active duty officers/deputies who carry a .38 for backup or off duty. As an LASD retiree I can go to their range and get a great deal on a couple of boxes of 50. I carry this in my Smith 642.

I really believe the Speer GDHP Short Barrel 135 gr 38 +P is
the very best SD ammo available for a snubbie revolver.
That's all I carry in my S&W 342 ti J-Frame.

This round gives the little, light, J-frame quite a kick. I do not enjoying the J-frame at all.

You don't shoot a lot of them. Just shoot enough to Know ware they hit and if you can control them. I have been told that recoil, and blast is a range issue and not noticed when TSHTF. Dry fire and lighter loads can get you familiar with the gun.
