Any handgun I own that isn't polymer framed is a range queen.

Of course since I live in Illinois, all of my guns are (by default) range queens.

The only gun that makes EVERY trip with me is the DE .50 i have multiple .22's & multiple everything else so they need to rotate taking turns. The DE is the only one of a kind.

The FN-FAL, Remington M66, and AR-15 (+ .22 kit) are the rifles that I shoot most often.
My CZ75, High Standard Victor .22, and S&W M66 are the pistols that always get fired.

My matching 1912 Erfurt Luger, Original 1960 Portuguese model AR10, stocked Inglis Hi-Power, and Japanese Type 45 6.5mm Mauser don't get to the range very often.

My bad, somehow I associate the word 'queen' with safe, not range.

My range queen is my carry gun, Walther P99 AS in 9mm. At least a magazine every time, even if I am came for some other reason.

My error in phrasing, all... my apologies...originally I intended to explore safe queens, but I like the range queens, the guns we love to shoot also. So I am going to see where this goes.

I interprete range queens as valuable guns that are used for their intended purpose, to be shot at the range.

I regularly shoot my Korth, rimfire Walther PP made in Zella Mehlis. Lately I even am taking the Python out again, a gun I do not enjoy as much as my S&W revolvers.

My SIG P210-4 shoots too well to be hidden away from daylight in a corner of the safe.

The Rossi 62SA and the Smith 617 have made every trip to the range for the past few years.........I guess you could say they are "range queens".......

I was trying to think of something that I only take to the range, then I'm rolling back thinking "I zapped a bunch of prairie dogs that one time" or "I lugged that evil bastard up Mt. Antero a few years ago" or camping, hiking, backpacking, in town carry, upland birds, big game... guess they've all been afield at some time or another.

If by range queen we mean it's an every time I go to the range deal, it's got to be the Ed Brown. Every day carry, and thousands upon thousands of lead loads downrange.

The handgun that goes with me to the range more than any other has got to be my Ruger Mark III Target.

I love it.

Yeah, maybe one day.

However, I just never spent big bucks on rimfire firearms. I fear once I start, I'll need to get so many.

The ones I carry on a regular basis; Walther PPS and KelTecPF9

The rest of the harware I rotate. Lately, I have had quite some fun shooting a Yugo Tokarev.

My range queen is a S&W Model 67, that I bought about 2 years ago. I installed a partridge front sight, and this revolver is really scary accurate with my 148 gr. HBWC loads. It's only fired double action. I was an old LEO many years ago, and this is what I do. I still train the old way, and believe that a revolver is just as good now, as it was back then. All them shots in your double stack won't do you no good if you can't hit what you're aiming at.

Train, train, and then train some more.

They're all range queens. At least all of mine anyway. It's not like I'm a soldier/cop who carries a gun as part of my daily profession.
