You and I seem to be in the extreme minority on that one. I wonder how long it'll take for prices to get back to normal after this buying panic...

I won't "suddenly" have a new use or need a new firearm because of the person in the White House. If you were worried about it, you had the last 4 years to buy. This question can only apply to folks who just reached legal age to purchase .

I don't be buying firearms because of President Obama's re-election, but I will be buying firearms.

One of the new Ruger SP-101's with the 4" bbl in .357 is on the short list.

It's time for me to hoard up more ammo, high-cap mags and high-cap rifles & pistols to sell at great profit to the idiots that will be flocking to panic buy.

This is just as bad as the Chicken Littles of the gun community. Unfortunately, there are far too many people that will do exactly this.

This, and other scary stories has been reported in dozens of news media outlets. If you don't know about it, then you haven't invested the time to learn what's been happening in this country since Obama was elected.

“I just want you to know that we are working on it,” Brady recalled the president telling them. “We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.” ~ Barack Obama, May, 2011, referencing gun control.

If Zero goes back in it will be a rough ride for sure. I would expect him to push for some form of national gun control with the same vehemence he did with health care.

Even if we have a strong, pro-gun congress, expect numerous new policies from BATF and any other back door means to achieve the same objectives.

Hey, if people were stupid enough to do the panic buy again, then why can't I make a profit?

Ditto

For the last few years I've been buying firearms like crazy, but not spending the time and money I need on accessories such as mags and ammo. I'd really like to get 5000+ rounds for each caliber I own. I'd also like a minimum of 5 mags for each pistol and 10 for each AR/AK.

I've been cutting myself off from purchasing any new firearms until I get caught up with the other stuff.

If Obama is reelected, then buying more guns will be low on my list. First will be trying to survive the next 4 years and feed my family by staying employed and healthy, because both will be in jeapordy. Second will be to keep an eye on things, and prepare for the necessity of having to relocate, because who knows what a second term will bring. Look at the racial tensions now, look at the OWS 'peaceful' protests, imagine 4 more years. Might have my house burnt down during a protest for who knows what new Obama induced intentionally manufactured hysteria comes down the pike.....

I kept hearing gun bans and confiscations and this and that, but I don't see it.

That's because he needs to be RE-ELECTED 1st!
Without worrying about ANOTHER election in a 2nd term, he can try any crazy ***** he wants.....hopefully IF we are unfortunate enough to see him re-elected (which would be proof positive this country is full of dumb *****es) he would still have to deal with a Congress a little less Socialist than HIM!

I'm not a huge Obama fan either, but you do realize that Obama is not a socialist by any stretch of the imagination. The US actually has a socialist party and B.O. is in no way affiliated with it. Supporting social programs and Socialism are two completely different things.

As for what guns I will buy I don't think who wins the election will effect that.
