It's time for me to hoard up more ammo, high-cap mags and high-cap rifles & pistols to sell at great profit to the idiots that will be flocking to panic buy.

This is just as bad as the Chicken Littles of the gun community. Unfortunately, there are far too many people that will do exactly this.

If Zero goes back in it will be a rough ride for sure. I would expect him to push for some form of national gun control with the same vehemence he did with health care.

Even if we have a strong, pro-gun congress, expect numerous new policies from BATF and any other back door means to achieve the same objectives.

Hey, if people were stupid enough to do the panic buy again, then why can't I make a profit?

Ditto

For the last few years I've been buying firearms like crazy, but not spending the time and money I need on accessories such as mags and ammo. I'd really like to get 5000+ rounds for each caliber I own. I'd also like a minimum of 5 mags for each pistol and 10 for each AR/AK.

I've been cutting myself off from purchasing any new firearms until I get caught up with the other stuff.

If Obama is reelected, then buying more guns will be low on my list. First will be trying to survive the next 4 years and feed my family by staying employed and healthy, because both will be in jeapordy. Second will be to keep an eye on things, and prepare for the necessity of having to relocate, because who knows what a second term will bring. Look at the racial tensions now, look at the OWS 'peaceful' protests, imagine 4 more years. Might have my house burnt down during a protest for who knows what new Obama induced intentionally manufactured hysteria comes down the pike.....

I kept hearing gun bans and confiscations and this and that, but I don't see it.

That's because he needs to be RE-ELECTED 1st!
Without worrying about ANOTHER election in a 2nd term, he can try any crazy ***** he wants.....hopefully IF we are unfortunate enough to see him re-elected (which would be proof positive this country is full of dumb *****es) he would still have to deal with a Congress a little less Socialist than HIM!

I'm not a huge Obama fan either, but you do realize that Obama is not a socialist by any stretch of the imagination. The US actually has a socialist party and B.O. is in no way affiliated with it. Supporting social programs and Socialism are two completely different things.

As for what guns I will buy I don't think who wins the election will effect that.

Good numbers son. I started gearing up back in 2008 and have been taking a lot of training classes which depletes the inventory quickly. Reloading is the answer.

I'm up to about 12k rounds of 9mm, 4k of .45 auto, and 3,500 of .223. Still have a sh1tload of primers, brass and lead on the shelves too.

As for mags, I keep a minimum of eight mags per pistol. Examples...

P229 mags

Actually, I don't plan on buying anymore firearms. Certainly I'll be purchasing ammo but only to replace what I shoot up in practice sessions. On the rare occasion I find ammo cheap enough, I may make slightly bigger purchases just to stock up on a limited scale.

“Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself”: FDR’s First Inaugural Address

I do not buy into the fear crap. How many guns do you really need? A few handguns, shotgun, and a rifle or two. I have more that that but I know it's more than I really need, you only have one trigger finger.

In 1993 after the AWB I had 4 or 5 mags for each handgun so I did not pay $75 to $100 for Glock mags. I said to myself you have all you really need. Then 10 years later I bought more when they were $20 each.

After BO won and the "ammo/ Gun shortage" happened I did not panic buy I had plenty of guns and ammo.

As others have said we the gun/ammo buying public created the shortage ourselves by panic buying and hording.
People are free to buy what thay want but all the horders created the shortage. I have been buying some ammo here and there for the past few years so if a "ammo/gun shortages" happens I will sit this one out like all the others.
If we all do not panic buy there will not be a shortage.

At least some of us realize what's happening to this country.

Even after giving UK and US missile defense secrets to Russia, he said:

“On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this can be solved, but it’s important for him (Putin) to give me space... this is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.

He sold out the Czechs and the Pols re their missile monitoring and defense shields, pissed off the UK Prime Minister, blew the debt by 5.5 trillion in 3.5 years, increased gas prices from $1.89 to over $4.00 and is effectively eliminating any new coal fired electrical plants from being built; Obama, Pelosi and Reid socialized 1/6th of our economy with Obamacare with premiums already increasing and due to skyrocket in 2014.

The crème de la crème will be when we are subjected to Sharia law in a few years.

I agree we are not going to see any hard drive on gun rights from a re-elected Obama. Much bigger fish to fry for him than gun control the next four years IMO. His focus will be elsewhere, gun control is not a hot topic socially right now IMO.

Buy hey any excuse to buy a new gun is a good one

Yeah don't see that happening....honestly the fear of this guy is amazing, as is the lack of faith in the American people and our system of government........
