Still getting used to it. Feels a little like cross-dressing (I assume).

Haven't worn it outside. Need to get the complete ensemble first.

It is great in hot weather..........

When wearing such a tactical kilt, does one "go commando"?

I wouldn't wear a kilt unless it was my family's tartan.

I have researched our tartan, my grandfather's name was McCandless, and have found it.

The cheapest kilt package in your tartan is over a thousand bucks. I don't have that to spend on a frivolity right now, but I might in the future. I would really like to have one.

Same for me. This website has several of my family's tartan patterns but to have a traditional kilt made would cost me $1330

I think they have jumped the shark.

But it would be fun wearing that to work.

I have little choice.
There is a Royal debate as to my maternal family's name spelling.
We have documents citing each variation for the same person.

And then there are the modern colors, ancient colors, and company vs. clan colors. And there is the pipe band with the same family name. Gah !

So I went with Olive Drab......

I just got a utilikilt survivor in coyote brown. Looks sharp. They threw in a pair of socks that developed a hole after half a mile walking. We'll see if this is just a phase. I've had them before.

From what I gather; not uncommon. Coat of Arms thing I have claims:
"The same person was born with one spelling, married with another, and on his gravestone, yet another."

As far as the tartan colors, get what you like!

No amount or armor will stop Silent_Runner from hurting whatever part of you she fancies at the moment.

Only way to be safe is to escape into outer space, live in Barsoom and hope she doesn't find you.
