I got my SYE kit today for my YJ.

How is your new motor holding up Kevin?
Sweet. I could use one of those, therefore I have a Jeep and it's what I'm working on in the garage. But I don't have a garage. lol

Last month I replaced the Timing chain on a 22R, Replaced the Side Marker light on my Acura MDX, this week I cleaned the EGR Plenum on the MDX, and cleaned out the west side of the Garage so the Accord and the MDX now stay inside.
Next week I install a Pioneer AVH 3400 BH, DVD receiver, and 4 JL Audio CX 600 Coaxials in the doors (all 4).
Still need to Debug the After market PYLE DVD headrest RES, Change the ATF x 3, and rear diff fluid.

Some really nice projects going on!!!!

The only project that has been going on in my garage lately, was putting a new battery in my wife's '01 Chrysler T&C.

He spent the big bucks. I went the cheap route on my XJ and got a "hack and tap" from DirtboundOffroad.com The extra wheelbase on the Cherokees gives you more options for a rear driveshaft. On stock to 4.5" of lift, you can use a stock FRONT double-cardan driveshaft at the rear. One of the best mods I've done to my little XJ.

That's a cool trick. On my TJ I've lived with a 3inch front 2 inch bb rear lift for the last 8 months or so without an sye. I had to drop my tc about 3/4" after I had the 8.8 installed. The 8.8 is what started most of my vibes, I'm still pretty low though.

I spent the afternoon trying to find the floor. It's looking pretty good so far, I might even get to start building my bouldering wall tomorrow.

Prepping my '83 Honda CB1100F for the riding season. It's getting taken down to the frame and restored next winter now that I got the garage heated. Also just bought a 1969 Snapper rear engine riding mower. It is the ultimate Forest Gump mower. It will get used this Summer and then restored over the winter as well.

Bringing a '99 Land Rover Discovery II back to life. Just got a "new" used engine dropped in and running. Putting new pads and rotors all around and new rubber first of the week and she'll be ready to go.

my wife's mustang is keeping me busy most weekend, all small stuff.

this morning I replaced a 46 year old radiator....went in like butter.

Next week, I'm pulling points and switching to electronic ignition.

last week I did a brake job on my touareg and saved almost $2000 by not having the dealer do it

How can a Touareg brake job be $2000? That is just scary.

Always working on my long term project bike in between customer jobs. It's a 99 ZRX1100 with a raked frame and 6" over swing arm. Time and money, never enough of both at the same time.

Oh, forgot to mention the big turbo.

We recently moved and I ended up with a crapton more garage space. Last couple of weekends I put in 13 or 14 cabinets, this weekend countertops and remount my presses and such so I can get reloading again.

Also have to get all my turkey stuff organized and get ready to hunt. And have to mount sling and pod on new .30-378 so I can try it out with a cheapie scope before I go drop real coin on the real deal.

Just for fun, I had my girl ask her dealer what they would charge to replace the timing belt and water pump on her 04 Forenza. They wanted $700.

I got the parts from Rock Auto for around $60 and as first-timers, it took me and Dad about 5 hours. For his help and using his tools, all he wanted was a sausage biscuit for breakfast.

At the end of last year after a weekend of wheeling, I enlarged the hole for the track bar mount and put a bigger bolt in to tighten things up. After installing a H&T SYE and removing an ancient t-case drop, I had to install new motor motor mounts / trans mount to keep the fan from rubbing the radiator.

The built TJ/JK guys are always surprised at what my stocker on street tires will do. I don't always mention the rear locker.

I need to install some front axle u-joints before I do anymore wheeling but yeah, after nearly 3 years of wrenching and a couple grand in parts, it's finally starting to get reliable.

The ATVs sat almost all of last year. A TV show I work with occasionally building props and finding vehicles needed a couple ATVs for an episode a couple months back. I started wrenching on ours then. My Scrambler 500 has needed a whole host of hard parts. I need to go in the carb one again on my girl's Trail Boss 330. It won't idle or start when warm. My buddy Neil that introduced me to riding had gotten rid of his Scrambler a few years back. Last month he bought an 03 and has been getting it fixed up. We've both been chasing parts and time to work them out but we're getting close to getting in some serious riding again.

Like last night, I keep falling into this catch 22 of having to fix something to fix something though. A few weeks ago my air compressor died, so I couldn't blow out the carb when I had it apart. No big deal, I'll throw the ATV on the trailer and take it to Dad's. The trailer sat and a tire went flat. Pull the Jeep around and plug in my 12v compressor. Pump air fruitlessly into the tire that has broken the bead. Jack up the trailer and shoot oil everywhere because the plug has fallen out of the fill hole on the top of my floor jack. Go to get the 4-way out of the toolbox in the back of the Jeep. Get the 4-way, remove the trailer wheel and tighten a ratchet strap around the tire to force the sidewall out. Successfully seat the bead and fill the tire. Struggle to remove the ratchet strap that now has the tension of the ratcheting mechanism and the air pressure of the filled tire. Nearly get hurt releasing the strap. Reinstall the wheel, put 4-way back in toolbox, carry toolbox to the back of the Jeep and pinch the **** out of myself with the lid. Give up on going to Dad's or doing anything else bug enjoying "cold compresses".

I hate days when nothing goes right.

I split my TC all excited to install the new tail shaft and found some parts that neded to be replaced.
So here again I am waiting on parts.

Last weekend I installed a BDS lift and can't drive over 25 due to bad vibes. I can't wait to get it back together and try it out!

I was always impressed with the Scramblers but for now my quad days are over. I had a few fast ones over the years but my body doesn't like the beating anymore.

Glad to hear your XJ is doing well for you. I checked out your thread; it looks nice.
