Px4 gets my vote. very soft shooting for a 45.

And the ergonomics are nearly identical to the other caliber's frames.

There are alot of good options though: G21, M&P, HK, Sig 220.

FNP-45. By far my favorite of any .45 I've owned including 1911's.

Didn't read all 4 pages so someone could have mentioned it:

EAA is going to release a Poly 1911 very soon. I saw it at Shot Show and thought it was pretty slick.

That said, I am partial to my M&P45C. Perfect size, soft shooter, and pretty accurate.

My M&P 45 full size is right up there with my P220 in accuracy and reliability and is much lighter. I still like my P220 best in case I decide to beat my assailant to death.

The new G30s or S&W M&P.
As slim as their 9mm guns, but hold 10 rounds of big ole 230grains 45 acp
What more can you ask for in a 45 !

If somebody would still make Model T there would be fan club adding nitros, spoilers and wide wheels for them.

Few months ago my BOL came over with his brand new Sig 1911. He fired one magazine from it. It jammed only once and made decent group. I gave him my old USP which he never fired before. He mage a group half the size of his super duper 1911 and it did not jam. He is looking for USP ever since even though I got mine for half the price of his 1911.

Not very bright but have to love him since my sister does. 12 >7 by the way.

I love my Glock 20 (same size as 21), but my PX4 45 feels much slimmer in the hand.

Best poly .45?
I have owned G21 in various gens, HK USP45, HK45, Ruger P97, FNH FNP45.
Best one for me is the USP45, and that's the only one I still have, in the Tactical model.

Heck, to keep the same size in the grip frame, I'd be happy with a single stack.

I'll bet if your USP was being copied by a dozen different companies that made their own different alterations to it, then it probably wouldn't have reputation with most people any better than your feelings about the 1911 design.

Wow someone drank the 1911 haterade. They are a terrible design. I guess that is where so many companies make them. If EAA made a poly CCO version, I'd order one. Some folks have small hands and still want a big caliber so they get a 1911. Those folks shooting IPSC must be real dolts. To think I trusted my life for 8 years with a SA Govt. model. What was I thinking? Thanks for shedding the light.

Yes. I agree.

They do.

When it comes to polymer there is HK and there is everything else.

Hk is in a league of their own that so far no other polymer gun can touch. Weather it be because the other manufactures are unwilling to do so or they can't, they have absolutely nothing on HK.

but my Glocks are great and have their purpose, and I love this forum and realize I'm in a forum for Glocks - sorry.
