The BEST Poly .45?

I have not owned a .45 for many, many, many years. Considering clearing out the 9mm and going 45. Last time I had a 45 it felt like a 4 pound hunk of steel. With all of the polys out there I'd love to get a feel for what would be considered the BEST. With the cash from my 9s I could likely get a very nice firearm. So what is it. The one poly .45 you must have?

Keep at least one 9mm and get a G21, 30 or 36

The Glock 30 is my favorite .45 ACP pistol hands down. 10+1 capacity and semi compact. If you would rather have a full size, the Glock 21 is a fine choice too.

I'd vote Glock 21 SF or Gen4. I love my Gen3 G21.

I liked the feel of the S&W M&P45 and Beretta Px4 Storm 45, but I don't own either, just played with'em at the gun shop.

My favorites in order, Glock 30, USP 45, HK45, Glock 21.
I would really like to try an XD or XDm in .45 auto.

2. Hk45
3. M&P45

Love, love, LOVE my FNP-45 Tactical. I can't compare it to others, since it's the only .45 I've owned.

XD's are really nice, EAA's have a lot of kick. Kahr CW45 are not bad at $380 or so. These are the poly .45's I have owned.

Another vote for the XD45!

Love mine, about 2K rounds so far, no issues at all.

Glock 30 for me with some 21 mags.

I cant justify the increase in size and weight going to the Glock 21 just for 3 more rounds...

HK 45 or the HK 45c. Or anything HK for that matter.

Accept no other. Accept nothing less.

I was going to mention a potential increase in ammunition cost. I would also be curious as to the purpose of the pistol as for something carried all the time, smaller size and lower weight might be more important.

Also sometimes having guns in different calibers can be useful when there are shortages of ammunition.
