All of them look like "16 will get you 20", if you know what I mean. If you don't, does the "jailbait" have any meaning for you?

For just a moment, allow me to get back to the subject of my original post. In looking at 15 or so of the cases that fired this recipe, they are all showing exactly same mark on exactly the same position of each case. In precisely straight lines, too. For those reasons, it seems to me that it would be unlikely to be case head separation in the making. But, I'm a newbie, and I would welcome more thoughts. I am going to tone it down, though.

You would be wise to not only toss that piece of brass but check all your other brass for signs of separation from inside the case.
May also be time to reconsider your load.

Jack has been loading longer than most people have been alive. If he states it so explicitly, I'd lean toward believing him and I'd heed his advice.

Fred has been loading almost as long as I've been alive and offers a lot of very helpful tips. If you don't trust Jack, try Fred's tip and see what you find.

Yep, I tried that paper clip thing and didn't detect anything. I had a few live rounds left of that recipe, and pulled the bullets.

You can also measure the case to see if it grew any.

I am using the same bullet. But 110 as my powder.

OAL 1986. I pulled the remaining rounds. I am discarding this one, I got the recipe from a questionable source.

Looks like you used Hodgdon data.
I will... in this instance... believe the hornady data in this case.
Take OAL up to 2" even, and back off the powder by almost 4 grains.
Be safe!

Oh yeah.. I forgot...
Throw those cases in the scrap pile. Pinch the stretched cases with a pair of pliers. (so you don't accidently reuse them!)
Always check multiple sources... Your gun and digits will last longer!

Just how old to you have to be to use the word "Incipient"? This is "Beginning" to be too hard to understand.

Old enough to have enough knowledge about reloading to know the correct term for a particular problem that could cause drastic results.
