Posted early in the thread.no issues. However I started having BTF with my Gen 4 G23. Seems to get better the more I shoot but the ejector is really dentinf uo my brass and I load my own so not good. Just replaced the 1882 ejector with the new ejector and hoping all is well at next range trip. From what I have read swapping from the 1882 ejector to the current fixes the ejection.

Update, and also posted in separate threat in the parts section of the forum. The new ejector solved all BTF problems.

Out-of-the-box-brass-to-the-face

Gen4 G34 Out-of-the-box-brass-to-the-face. Problem is worse with 115grain ammo: upto 20% of the brass hits me, lands on my arm, or goes into my clothes.

The 124grain performs the best and has less than 5% btf, but still weak and erratic ejections. 147 and 158grain are slightly better than 115grain.

Regardless of ammo all ejections are weak and erratic: 1-2ft, between 3 and 6 o'clock.

It's been to Glock twice now and they keep telling me that it's fine and working as it should be... kind of an arrogant whereas I've been sending them videos of me getting brass bouncing off my expletive forehead.

And it's a shame, I really like the pistol, my wife likes it too, but the btf issue to me isn't safe.

On the other hand, my Gen4 G22 is out of the box perfection and exactly why I chose Glock in the first place. One partial ejection in 2500 rounds, due to cheaper bulk ammo.

My only advice is for 9mm and that is to stick to 124grain ammo. I am still hopeful Glock will fix mine or replace it.

I rarely get BTF with WWB & Remington 230gr FMJs. Not enough to bother me.

1.) G20, G21, G27
2.)A
3.) Bought them all new and never had a problem. I now have aftermarket barrels for all of them and they still run problem free.

I own a Gen4 19, 23, and 37...no problems as of yet. But, I talked my neighbor into buying a Gen4 23 and the slide lock spring kept falling out. I finally replaced the spring for him...now it's fine.

1. Which model(s) do you own? Gen 4 G19 Also own Gen 3 G27, Gen 2 G22

2. Which fits your situation:

B. I have ejection problems with this handgun

3. Notes/comments regarding your situation and your thoughts on this issue.

Mine Gen4 G19 is brand new recent serial XGT... Made in Austria. Took it to the range with a box of American Eagle 115 gr. Third shot had brass smack me right between the eyes and I had a serious WTF just happened moment.. That first box I experienced 80% erratic ejection and 50% of those were to the head or chest. Husband gave it a try (he has thousands and thousands more Glock rounds down range than I and extensive training). It did the same thing for him. I didn't know BTF was a thing before that. Having shot the G22 and G27 with no issues and which promptly spit every casing off and to the right several feet away I was surprised.

I love this gun, the way it feels, the way it shoots (minus random brass fallout) and I am determined to work out whatever is going on with it. So far I haven't gotten burned. Since last week, I have tried 200 rounds of CCI Blazer Brass in 115 gr and 50 rounds of Aguila in 124 gr. The Blazer seems to perform a little better than AE. Getting about 20% BTF and only 10% on the Aquila. I am looking for some heavier grain plinking ammo to keep putting rounds through to see if it is grain and quality/consistency vs. equipment.

Had the husband keep an eye on my form last time at the range, and I am certain and he is certain it isn't operator error. Same with him when he was giving it a spin. Watched him put a full mag down range and he would have pretty decent ejection and perfect form and then have one smack to the forehead.

I don't like that I am pushed into buying heavier grain ammo for range time. I see lots of others not have any issue with 115 gr and various brands that now are on my DO NOT BUY list after research. In my area the heavier grain ammo is hard to find and not as cheap.. (plenty of availability if you drain the bank account and buy personal defense rounds.) I am a bit jealous that other people don't seem to have any issues with theirs. It also kinda irritates me that some people seem to think there isn't a problem, or it's only operator error. Sorry. Not buying that.

I use a Jäger guide rod and a 13# ISMI spring in my G4 34 because I shoot mild loads in that gun. I suggest giving a setup like that a try if you want to shoot 115 WWB and the like in your 19.

I've not read other responses but here's my expierence.

1: G19

2: 2

I remember some people saying light rounds are to blame. I've put about 1500 rounds through mine and almost all of them have been Freedom Munitions 115 grain. Of those I have *never* had an ejection problem and have had very, very few come close to BTF.
