Gen 4 G26 had 2 stovepipes and would occationally hit me with brass. Cleaned and installed updated EJECTOR and it has run well for at least 500 rounds.

Bought a new Gen 4 G19 for the wife (all updated internals), had problems with brass hitting her mostly, and a couple landing on my head. Installed White Sound HERD spring loaded bearing with a Lone Wolf extractor, not much improvement. Tried HERD with stock extractor and it was better. I talked to a local gun shop and acuired a non LCI extractor (no dip), we went to the range last weekend, I had one out of 150 rounds hit me, firing left handed with one hand, and the wife had one graze her. At this point we are calling it fixed. (Price of the fix, about $36.00)

i just bought a Glock 23gen4, Made in the USA. fired more than 400 rounds already, no issues whatsover. been using teflon reloads. 1st time to own a glock and im having problems with the trigger pull. Im so used to the 1911 with a 2 lb trigger pull maybe it's just a matter of getting used to it...more practice, more wallet draining!

Gen 4 G19 production 5/12 and put another 200 rounds through it tonight. So far ZERO issues and runs as well as any of my third gens. Pistol came with all updated parts and new non dipped extractor. All cases are thrown in the 3 and 4 o'clock position no matter how tight or loose I hold it. TXPO

Before I purchase my next G19 and /or G26, I'd like to know how widespread the "problem" really is.

Let's do a quick survey. Gen4 Glock owners only please:

1. Which model(s) do you own?

2. Which fits your situation:

A. I have no problem with this handgun

B. I have ejection problems with this handgun
C. I had ejection problems, Glock (or armorer) fixed it, and it now rocks.
D. I had ejection problems, Glock (or armorer) fixed them, but it still isn't right.
3. Notes/comments regarding your situation and your thoughts on this issue.

Selfishly, I know your responses will be useful to me. I hope they will be useful to others also.

Update: Wow. Lots of great responses. Thank you all for responding, especially regarding an issue which has been beaten to death. It's good to see all of these opinions together in one thread.

Overwhelmingly Gen 4 is either not a problem at all... or for those with early Gen 4 purchases, updated parts have resolved the problem. I'm now TOTALLY confident in the purchase and am off to the dealer with GSSF coupon in hand.

G17 Gen 2, G17 Gen 4, G26 Gen 3. Gen 4 is very consistent. Gen 2 is a bit irratic but does not hit me in the head. All work. That's all I care about, that it does eject the round and cycle properly. The Gen 4 has about 600 flawless rounds through it.

Random question. Just bought a glock 17 gen 4. How do I know the #s to old and new parts? My coil is 042 and don't know where the ejector # is or what it should be.

30274 I beleive IS THE improved ejector. I have one on my Gen4 19. The number is facing you looking from the right side of the pistol. The old number was 036 I think.

Have all the upgraded parts. Still get hit in the forehead once in 50 rounds. Gun is ok for defense, doubt i will notice a brass hit in a defence situtation. Decided ok defense gun but nothing more. Would never buy another or recommend one to someone.

G26 Gen4, Date of test fire 1NOV2012(2 shell casing from factory), 5o rounds of Winchester Super X 147gr FMJ ~Subsonics~, one brass to face --wifes first time shooting pistol, may have limpwrist, I checked many casing and no dents on rims etc. All others ejected perfect. This is the first 50 rounds out of pistol.

Gen 4 G19, NIB, test cartridge fired Oct 2012. About 250 rounds, mostly WWB, zero failures, zero BTF. The grip fits my hand as if it were custom made for me, but that's just me. Even my wife likes the Glock. If i can ever get her to take the CCW class, she will probably take over the G19. I am now contemplating a G23, but will wait until the craziness dies down.

I purchased my first Glock this week a Gen 4 G23. After being a 1911 guy most of my life; I decided that I just had to have a Glock in my collection. I took it to the range on Thursday and put about 250 rounds down range with zero problems. Now I need to just get used to that DA trigger and I'll be set!
