Glock hasn't been much help either. Saying its ammo etc on phone. And have not responded to my emails at all.

OK, best bet is when the Apex extractors are
availible that will fix your issue.

in the mean time you may want to try the
White Sound defense HRED extractor plunger assembly.
Many have had good luck with that helping if not curing the issue.

You have the latest ejector so you're good there.

Gen 4. 19. Runs flawlessly. Tested in oct. 2012. 115 grain does eject kindof random but none have hit me in the head. I can tell recoil is a little lighter but not drastic. Very accurate. 500 rounds and not one glitch.

Read my mind. Talked to Apex yesterday .40 version is in the works. And ordered the HRED spring this morning.

Same here, waiting on the Apex, though mine ejects fine
I don't like having a non machined extractor.

G19 Gen 4. About 3k rounds through now and no brass to the face for the last 2.5k of it. Seems it just needed breaking in. No other errors, just flawless. Same with my brothers G23 Gen 4

Our agency is using Gen 4 G21's (230 grain Fedral HST +P/230 grain Lawman FMJ). We have had zero reported issues with any of the new pistols as of yet.

I tend to think the issue is not as bad as it seems here on Glock Talk, simply because I suspect people are more likely to post regarding a problem gun. Before I purchase my next G19 and /or G26, I'd like to know how widespread the "problem" really is.

Let's do a quick survey. Gen4 Glock owners only please:

1. Which model(s) do you own?

2. Which fits your situation:
A. I have no problem with this handgun
B. I have ejection problems with this handgun
C. I had ejection problems, Glock (or armorer) fixed it, and it now rocks.
D. I had ejection problems, Glock (or armorer) fixed them, but it still isn't right.
3. Notes/comments regarding your situation and your thoughts on this issue.

Selfishly, I know your responses will be useful to me. I hope they will be useful to others also.

Update: Wow. Lots of great responses. Thank you all for responding, especially regarding an issue which has been beaten to death. It's good to see all of these opinions together in one thread.

Overwhelmingly Gen 4 is either not a problem at all... or for those with early Gen 4 purchases, updated parts have resolved the problem. I'm now TOTALLY confident in the purchase and am off to the dealer with GSSF coupon in hand.

gen 4 G17 and G26 No Problems ... G17 has a few Thousand Rounds through it now; maybe 3-4 Thousand

That is a great pistol and ammunition combination.

Gen 4 with 500 rounds and not a problem. Had one ejection hit the bill of my hat but it was cheap 115 grain ammo and that round felt really weak. Test on date was oct. 2012

gen 4 model 19. tested oct.2012. i bought it a couple weeks ago and have 500 rounds throough it. its been flawless except for a couple of shells ejected on the bill of my hat. i will say though that some rounds felt really weak. it was cheap monarck ammo from academy and ran well. the gun does seem to eject out better with 124 grain.

My gen 4 g26 is going strong with over 500 rounds through it now with 115 and 124 grain factory ammo.

I purchased a gen4 g34 though and it is one of the problem guns. It's been back to glock and they returned it saying meets spec without doing anything. I'm sending it back again to see if they are able to figure it out this time. I have testing this gun with winchester, federal, pmc, remington blazer brass, etc. and in different 115, 124 and 147 grain loads. I get weak erratic ejection with it all. So far my gen4 luck i guess is 50/50, all my other glocks have been fine. the last glock I had bought up until a month ago was a gen3 g27, which was right before the g17 gen4 model came out.

I've got 2 gen 4 34's, a Gen 4 26, a Gen 4 19, and a Gen 4 17.....no problems with any of them. They're just as good, in fact better, than my Gen 3's.

New Gen4 19. Only 80 rounds so far. Out of that, one BTF, and one landed on my cap bill. This was with Federal Champion 115gr from WalMart which felt a bit weak. Switching to 124gr ammo anyway.
